Update #2 – Update: County Board District 1 News

Guess who the Democrats picked? Progressives are so easy to predict. I called it below. The only guy who can’t prove he’s a Republican

This was received by one of the applicants. The others need to check their spam folder if they haven’t seen it.

That’s called a punt:

Five people applied to fill Catherine Metsker’s District 1 County Board seat. The Executive Committee questioned them last night: https://mcleancountyil.gov/ArchiveCenter/ViewFile/Item/10696

Being completely fair and balanced, Democrats allowed 1 Republican on the Committee: Friedrich.

Of course everyone knows Able and Beirne are far left. I’m told Corey was more concerned about Climate Change than efficiently providing services to citizens. Anyone who still believes the world is ending isn’t following the science.

One of the 5 applicants hasn’t recently voted in a Republican primary. Maybe he’s a RINO Republican. Maybe he can’t find time in 40 days to vote. Maybe he doesn’t want to make sure the best Republican candidates advance to the general election.

This Democrat committee will be notifying the applicants today. Don’t be surprised is they pick this guy: Andy Ziebarth. The Democrats don’t want to pick a Republican to replace Republican Metzker. A squish is better for their agenda.

        1. No, I mean he’s not a serious person. He’s an embarrassment to conservatives. Read some of his interviews for when he ran for State Rep. Dude has no idea what he’s doing.

  1. How does a person show that they are a republican ? I would think the local GOP would vet and submit candidates for this vacancy. Ultimately , it is the chairman that gets to make the appointment , but the law states clearly it must be from the same party in which the vacating member belonged.
Did all candidates for the vacancy unequivocally state that they are indeed from the republican party ?

    1. I’ve voted in every election since Obama for Republicans. I’m a problem for local democrats they don’t want on the board. Conservative values I proudly stand for and defend.

  2. It’s sad these people are picking a representative for our rural areas. The county board is more for Bloomington/Normal. Our rural board members who all are republicans have no say in anything.
