Early voting starts February 20th for the April 1st election. A 1% Sales Tax increase for schools will be on the ballot. Vote NO!
You are ruled by the people who vote. More than 75% of registered voters don’t. Elections have consequences, these turnout numbers are disgusting at best. Most people won’t even know there is an election.

Never been able to figure it out
At a minimum are there only 20% of the residents that own property of some type? I would guess that number is much higher than 20%.
You would think that with the high cost of property taxes that continue to go up that all property owners would take the time to vote to get new decision makers in power.
Just saying!
With the population numbers of both cities…and of the County, this is not only unbelievable, it’s just downright “sickening’. 🙁 🙁 THOSE who act or talk like they want change but won’t vote, DESERVE what they continue to get. But sadly in this process, they keep the political miscreants in power!
for Town Of Normal:
* Do * Not * Vote * – Council is three candidates for three slots, they already won. Mayor is ‘Koos’, ‘Koos in a pantsuit’, or ‘DEI Koos’, so not much difference. However…
IL Election Law is written so that a low vote count makes it easier for challengers to run next time, so if you want change that’s not offered, your best option is to Not Vote for these races.
for Anything Partisan, such as Normal Township:
* Straight * Republican * – The Dems are the party of ‘there is no inflation’ and ‘the border is secure’ and ‘Biden is sharp as a tack’, and that’s just the most recent and obvious lies. So anyone running as a Dem is either a liar or fine with others lying to you. Sadly, the R’s have their share of weasels as well, so it’s not a choice of ‘Lies vs Truth’, but of ‘More Lies vs Less Lies’, but the final obvious decision is the same.
for Bloomington Mayor:
* Brady * – Some here may know I’ve had (and have) misgivings about Brady, but he’s still be best option among the three choices available.
Other than one or two Blm council races mentioned elsewhere here on BLNNews, are there any other good candidates in disputed races? (Or sadly, even any other good candidates?)
