Lack of a quorum.
Yea I wouldn’t show up either.
Perhaps they realize that protecting illegal aliens and impeding ICE will be dealt with by DHS, Homeland Security.
Thankyou Diane for chronicling the Welcoming Cities issue in BLN News over the years. In 2017 progressives were angry and adamant in the “virtuous” fight to invite illegal aliens into our country and our cities. Looking back we see it was a coordinated and coached effort from the highest levels of government at the time. Clinton and Obama’s Welcoming America started it.
Conservatives were asking questions about where Welcoming America, Welcoming States, Welcoming Cities would lead us. They asked about public safety, the role of the police and the restraints put on them, housing and public services among others.
As 5 years have passed by, we began to see the results of short-sighted progressive politicians at the federal, state and local levels.
Today we find that the things conservatives were concerned about ballooned into critical national issues. On the other hand, the angry progressives have decided the Welcoming Cities issue shouldn’t be brought up for discussion. That is a shame.
I copied a few of Diane’s articles and a couple of comments from them to give a look back at where we were compared to where we are now.

@Tom—so true that there are two sides to every issue. Unfortunately, traditional local media has not reported about those who oppose the Welcoming Ordinance. Many who oppose it are fearful of retaliation from the activists who do support the ordinance.

Diane I just don’t get it. I really don’t. Why do liberals want sanctuary cities and states? Do they want to destroy our country? Are they blind to the harm they do? The stupidity of it?
Or, is the real intention to destroy the white majority and what it’s accomplished? The only reason I can decipher is the latter, which also explains the encouragement to NOT assimilate and the “celebration of diversity”.
I become just as alienated by all this as I did to our treatment when I can home from Vietnam. Then I realize they are them same folks! The liberals that marched, protested, and spit on the returning soldiers, or their liberal spawn, are the people championing progressive liberalism—communism— today.
Thank you for what you do. It’s nice to know there’s a right thinking person left with the energy to resist these Bolsheviks.

Anyone who speaks against the Ordinance is publicly called a racist by the activists. Those who oppose are threatened and bullied on social media.
Renner and the other supporters vocalize their belief that voting in favor of the ordinance is doing the “right thing” meaning opposition must be wrong.
