Cody Hendricks was MIA but he’s raking in the union bucks

By: Diane Benjamin

Both Cody Hendricks and Tom Crumpler were absent last night from the City Council meeting. Cody did post a campaign video of himself downtown talking about making it great. Since he wasn’t wearing a coat he didn’t film it yesterday.

Below are Cody’s latest campaign contributions. If you look at all his donors you will see the local unions are pouring money into getting him elected: https://www.illinoissunshine.org/committees/39051/

If these unions watched the meeting last night Bloomington is delaying projects because the budget doesn’t have money available. Did Cody promise them work? Is Cody planning to borrow money to payback all the unions forking money to his campaign? This election appears to be about who Bloomington exists for: unions or all citizens.

Cody now has cash on hand of $28,554.25.

Mboka Mwilambwe has $3,313.40

Dan Brady has $69,996.55. $10,000 of that came from Police Benevolent and Protective Association

It is very easy to look up contributions on Illinois Sunshine. Follow the money!

Beside the Council elections, don’t forget the schools want a 1% sales tax. Schools will never have enough money, there is no guarantee your property taxes will go down. They don’t believe in returning your money, no unit of government does.

  1. I heard Cody Hendricks was in DC rallying for Bloomington last week, he went in replacement of Mboka, actually. I agree with you when you say people don’t like the job Mboka’s done. . . Just my opinion but I think the fact they sent Cody says a lot about his influence.

      1. If it’s successful, it’s worth it. Also, it should’ve been Mboka but he couldn’t go because of work. I know you asked how Cody was able to be mayor and still teach, but he’s already so available.

          1. I don’t know the details, but I do now that there was a sufficient amount of time to work with Olympia, and I’d imagine finding a substitute wasn’t hard. Also, would you rather that there wasn’t a mission to go to DC? That type of outreach, regardless of success or failure, is what Bloomington needs. I trust Cody to not give up and continue to advocate for Bloomington too, if elected Mayor, way more than Brady or Mboka.

              1. He wasn’t lobbying for Olympia, he was lobbying for Bloomington. . . Also, like, calling me math challenged is absolutely crazy. Um, where did you see any math? We didn’t even mention any numbers?

Also, if I can refrain from making fun of your eye surgery and it’s very obvious repercussions I think you can refrain from calling me unsolicited names.

                  1. Diane, he used PTO. There is nothing wrong with that in the slightest bit and I don’t see why you have yourself in a panic because of it. Also, it’s not like he’s slouching at him using a sick day, he’s going to Washington D.C., our nations capitol, to lobby for Bloomington. You’re talking about “vacation expense” as well, which is why I have to call you REGULARLY challenged, because it’s paid-time-off.
