According to the Vidette website: https://www.videtteonline.com/

The “Student Voice” has written NOTHING about the massive gathering on their campus yesterday.
These are the top 2 stories under NEWS:

The Vidette has joined the ranks of FAKE NEWS. Congrats
Maybe the staff doesn’t get out of bed until mid afternoon.
Keep in mind students vote. They are uniformed thanks to the Vidette and WGLT. Both are on campus.

Just because the massive gathering was in regards to Charlie Kirk doesn’t mean they support him. Lots of counter demonstrators showed up, in fact, it may have had more opposition than support. Let it be known people go to debate and listen, not just show support.
Are you saying they covered the other two events because they support both? I thought they were student news.
I’m not defending the Vidette, but I just wanted that to go said that Charlie Kirk’s crowds have really no tell of support or opposition at first glance.
@Lockley – were you there or are you making assumptions?
If you were there, did you hear the cheers for things Kirk said?
Did you hear the boos for leftist’s comments?
I saw the counter “demonstrators”. A few people holding placards, almost un-noticeable.
Your characterization is completely wrong.
Fake news?
How about NO News?
The Vidette is bad in general. There are high schools with better papers. Regardless, they’re not really dedicated to “breaking news.” There were students taking photos so I think they’ll get something up eventually.
I’m sure a story will show up in a few days. The tend to be behind. That’s what happens when you integrate it with coursework instead of hiring student workers to do it.
