3 Things you need to know

1)

Yesterday I reported a lot of the Rivian vans parked at State Farm were gone. https://blnnews.com/2025/04/29/eight-things-you-need-to-know/

I drove by again yesterday and they are back:

2)

Does retired judge James Knecht know the Wisconsin Supreme Court suspended Judge Hannah Dugan after she was federally charged with helping an undocumented immigrant evade arrest? https://abcnews.go.com/US/wisconsin-supreme-court-temporarily-suspends-milwaukee-judge-hannah/story?id=121296535

If Knecht’s law theory was close to correct, why didn’t the Wisconsin Supreme Court defend her? https://blnnews.com/2025/04/28/laws-apply-to-judges-too/

Maybe that court understands the law better than Knecht?

Have you received mail from First Five Action Fund? The want us to call Congress and demand the Child and Dependent Care Tax credit get increased.

I’ve received two so far, neither were cheap postcards:

Return address:

This organization filed a non-profit tax return on 4/18/24 that shows this:

.

The President is Sarah Rittling. According to the filed tax return she was the only paid employee: $347,604. https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/851075023/202441099349300319/full

The tax return shows two affiliated organizations – both headquartered in Chicago at the same address:

The website for this organization reveals more: https://firstfiveaction.org/about-the-action-fund/

Diana Rauner, wife of former governor Bruce, is the Treasurer. She is also the President of “Start Early”.

First Five exists to lobby.

Sarah Rittling is also the Executive Director of Start Early. This site shows she earned $283,862 during the same tax year: https://datarepublican.com/officers/?nonprofit_kw=363186328

Some data is: https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/363186328

$120,000,000 in revenue without adequate internal controls:

That statement didn’t keep the State of Illinois from giving them a TON of money:

From OpenTheBooks.com:

The other affiliated organization, Bounce DC, shows Diana Rauner is co-President and a different paid employee. https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/271349287

They reported YEARS of very low revenue and huge expenses. Example:

OpenTheBooks didn’t show them getting any State Money. This was a rabbit hole I wasn’t expencting!

  1. Imho she did not “earn” that salary. It was simply given to her. This easily falls into the waste, fraud, and abuse category.
