Medicaid cuts, if passed, only apply to illegals and able-bodied people capable of working but chose not to. Medicare isn’t being cut unless the recipient is here illegally.
Maybe Pritzker’s budget that doesn’t provide free healthcare to illegals is the cause?

Diane, I am pretty sure this is the workforce for Health Alliance insurance which is being discontinued at the end of this year.

And….. coming to a neighborhood near you…. a shift layoff at Rivian as they run out of their free money. You can’t lose $32,500 on every vehicle you make and sell and stay in business very long.
the mark up actually has a 2.8% reduction in medicare reimbursements which IS a cut to Medicare. Good luck getting physicians to keep taking Medicare patients if the gov continues lowering reimbursement rates.

Rivian must be using new math. I’m not sure how they can lose $32,500 per vehicle and still generate a profit? Maybe we (the taxpayers) are making up the difference, with Pritzker’s pipeline of tax dollars to Rivian.
At least they’re being offered career training for new roles at Carle Health, if they want it.
