Obviously the City of Bloomington is not going to hold elected officials or the City Manager accountable for violating City code. In case you forgot: https://blnnews.com/2025/07/11/the-latest-people-bloomington-prosecuted-for-violating-city-code/
Add City Manager Jeff Jurgens to that story. He is allowed by code to spend $50,000 (needs reduced!) without Council approval. He exceeded that amount with the Opticos contract. https://blnnews.com/2025/08/27/the-only-paper-that-matters-is-what-jeff-jurgens-signed/
That isn’t going to stop the City from prosecuting a new crop of people today: https://www.bloomingtonil.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/28541/638926023952230000

.
Note the hearing times. It looks like a doctor’s office with numerous appointments scheduled at the same time. Get there and wait, and wait, and wait.
FYI: The McLean County State’s Attorney still hasn’t announced the results of the investigation of election interference by local school districts for a 1% Sales Tax increase.
Expect higher property tax bills even though voters were promised they would get property tax relief.
Justice delayed is justice denied.
Non-existent justice means trust in people running their government is greatly diminished.
