SIX things you need to know

1)

Nayoka Griffis was just elected to the Normal Township Board last April. She quit already with no explanation given by Krystle Able who posted she is accepting applications to fill the seat. You have to prove you are democrat.

2)

Another No Kings protest Saturday. Why are friends and neighbors struggling in the coming weeks? Does that mean they support the Senate using the nuclear option to reopen government? Is 13 votes against reopening by the Democrats enough?

I wonder if the grim reaper will make another appearance?

That is a screenshot sent to me by a reader (Not Karen Cook). I wonder what other delightful people were in costume for the last event that didn’t make the media? How many tomorrow?

3)

The arrest of Derek S Lopez has made national news on lots of different outlet, a few were NY Time, Libs of TikTok, and Fox News. Below is likely one reason why he was arrested:

4)

Comments like this one made to my BlnNews Facebook page is why Illinois has No Cash Bail – the left doesn’t believe locking people up should be a consequence of committing a crime:

Anyone with a brain knows people without a way to commit a crime don’t.

5)

The local League of Women Voters has lost all credibility by partnering with 50501. See the two images below, 50501 only exists to disrupt the Republican agenda because Trump won and they lost. Specific issues are immaterial. TDS means 100% opposition. Note too Saturday’s No Kings event lists them as sponsors.

6)

The most dangerous time for your wallet is during the veto session in Springfield. According to this story, living in Northern Illinois is going to get more expensive: https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/illinois-transit-transit-funding-bill-passed/

I believe another GREEN NEW DEAL package was passed that will increase the cost of electricity. New nuclear is still banned. Why does the ruling party want electricity to cost you more when much cheaper nuclear is an option?

  1. Ms. Simpson is one of those that believes a smack on the hand will cure any bad behavior. It is against the law to make threats like Lopez made. He deserves all that he gets and more.

  2. #2. Again, how do you protest No Kings, No Oligarchs when we have JB Pritzker as governor, who was just named #482 on Forbes’ list of top 500 richest in the world? No Kings, indeed.

#3. I think Derek Lopez is just trying to extend his 15 minutes of fame as long as he can. To think this guy was a teaching assistant. Ha.

#4. A guy already shot Trump without a threat. Dodgetta most likely doesn’t know Derek Lopez and therefore has no idea what he may or may not be capable of. And if this person really doesn’t think prison works, then the only alternative is harsher punishments. I doubt they want that.

#5. If an organization has to point out that it is “grassroots” then most likely it is probably not. Too many videos of protesters not knowing why they’re protesting, or even straight up admitting they are getting paid. That’s not grassroots.

      1. I hope that extra fame was worth it. Federal charges and federal penitentiary over not keeping your hands to yourself and throwing a temper tantrum like a toddler seems like maybe it wasn’t worth it. I have no sympathy, though. I hope he rots.
