Why are Illinois Democrats going to tax tips, Krystle? Is affordability only a talking point for people who work tipped jobs? Funny—I haven’t heard Illinois Democrats rushing to tax federally exempt overtime. Is that because overtime is more associated with union and blue-collar jobs? Illinois will lose a lot more revenue from not taxing overtime than from not taxing tips! Details, details.
Here are more facts. Republicans didn’t want to renew the 5-year COVID massive ACA tax credit that Democrats put a 5-year limit on when they passed the subsidies. Throwing money at a failed program that only gets more expensive every year, that eliminated competition in the health insurance market, and that made the surviving insurance companies rich is common sense. Premiums will skyrocket, just as planned. Medicare for All will limit access, and shortages of doctors and care will mean actual healthcare is rationed. Nice plan.
Krystle left out Democrats killed the Republican plan to give money directly to the people on Obamacare.
Medicaid and SNAP cuts got illegals off both programs. Remember when immigrants weren’t allowed in if they couldn’t provide for themselves? Able-bodied people who should be working were also thrown off. Again, common sense. There isn’t anything but propaganda in this post:

Just so you know, another post from Krystle revealed 2 of the top Democrat candidates to replace Dick Durbin want Medicare for All. Illinois can do better than destroying healthcare for the entire country while Congress likely exempts themselves. All three have spending proposals that will increase the deficit and therefore produce inflation. We’ve seen this show before, Biden spending made life unaffordable. Vote common sense instead of taxpayer funded gifts. Nothing is free.

Speaking of taxes, Unit 5 has now been caught in a lie. They are threatening again to close Carlock school and an attendance study is in the works to see about building a school East of Veterans Parkway. Why are all the new schools going East? That means more busses and another tax referendum. Enrollment is down and heaven forbid if there are 30 kids to a classroom. My teachers growing up always had 28 to 30 children with no teaching assistance. There is a story on it I believe on WEEK News 25 if I remember correctly.

I think they tricked everyone when it was on the ballot again because they lost the first time so they sort of changed the wording. But you are correct, the Republicans refuse to vote in local elections so we basically get what we deserve.
There’s a handful of smart people on this site. Why don’t they run for office? Get out, campaign, go after the vote. With all the wisdom y’all have, just do it. Until then,,,blah, blah, blah, the commies will continue the destruction of America.
This is why us smart people don’t run. The idiots already in continue to get voted in because Republicans continue to not vote in local elections. If you remember, Stan Nord fought for us and was shut down at every angle by these Commies. Who wants to run against that and run up against a wall every time you open your mouth? There were good candidates running in the past 2 elections and they couldn’t get voted in.
You are exactly right. The most qualified to manage are successful business people…..of course they’d be fools to run. But that’s what it’ll take, A few foolish enough to care.
