What these 2 charts are saying:
FIVE of the area top 10 employers are government while the population isn’t growing. Since government only has money they take from the population, other employers can’t grow.
School test scores aren’t stellar while schools are “educating” fewer students with a lot more employees.
Remember when we were told Heartland would never need a campus? Now they are a top 10 employer.
State Farm employment continues to decline.
Health Care employment has dramatically grown as the population hasn’t. How much healthcare is subsidized by taxpayers?
Airport traffic is down, this year they will be taxing the entire county because they can.
The data presented is over a year old.

Workforce and recruiting and colleges (Heartland, ISU and others) have become a farce promoting workforce dev then handing them jobs at local private and public orgs. Nothing new and it’s shows as there is a quiet $ partnership.
Same consultants, L&D leaders, same families, same industries, mantras and system partnerships.
HR and hiring is the biggest data and $ funnel in Illinois I. The name of innovation and jobs and growth.
Taxpayers are generally the sacrificial lambs for this social engineering and project game.
Time to start cutting government spending, government employee headcount, and reduce taxes.
Won’t happen with 20% voter participation
Unit 5 has 562 MORE employees, 722 FEWER students, the WORST proficiency outcomes, & they constantly want more of our money. Tell them NO! They’ve demonstrated they cannot appropriately & effectively manage the money they already take from us.
In 1976, while working at GE in the Panatrol department, I witnessed a full department shipped to San Juan, PR. At that time, off shore was a foreign term. Had no idea at that time that Illinois would become what it is today.
Just heard Pritzker promote weaponized government. If you’re young, get out while you can. Much like California, Illinois is lost.
Anyone that thinks McLean County and BN has any hope of a positive revitalization at this point has mental problems. All this population and economic chaos was planned. The people that planned it already have homes in other states to escape to. The families that are continually put on the local pedestal came to the area to rape it clean like a hoarde of locusts. They are almost finished taking all the wealth for themselves and casting everyone else out to the street. If you aren’t already planning for your exit at any age you are dooming yourself and family to a life with zero prospects and sad futures. The local Elitist Clique sees most locals as cattle to be used anyway they see fit. Plan your escape now and live free elsewhere.
What happened to the City of Bloomington? We know their employment is up.
Lot of part time workers
The missing piece of the story where metrics and growth and HR/execs and PR and public/private and corporate is involved….(Here it goes)
Many temp and PT jobs (no benefits or decent pay and not long term) or Sustainable $$ Many of these folks were forced to leave to make room for the chosen ones (usually military or grads from local colleges or family/friends kids)
There are no reports or communications metrics in true picture (ex. Underemployed, LONG term unemployed no longer counted, working PT or multiple PT jobs (no benefits), forced so called “retirement” where people deplete all savings to survive locally due to inability to get hired (system broken)
Not counting forced departures from decent jobs, or incentivising leaving is good PR and looks good for hiring and counts and Execs (highly compensated)
These are the long term local taxpayers that that can’t afford to leave or have other homes in other States to run to. (Or public ally paid benefits, raises and pensions for life)
The forgotten ones. PR- public relations and narratives and image are king in this area $$
