Krystle Able thinks it’s her job. She also doesn’t understand to participate in any public meeting does not require being eligible to participate. Is she going to ban the press if the reporter lives in Bloomington? Is she going to throw people out who don’t meet her qualifications? It’s hilarious that she states Israel has apartheid policies. They have a diverse population, including Muslims and Christians. The only apartheid is refusing to let terrorists in the country.

The Annual Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 14th at 7pm at the Activity and Recreation Center.
Voter check in will begin at 6:30 PM to verify your eligibility to participate in this meeting.
This year, there is an item on the agenda submitted via petition (who started it Krystle?) by voters in Normal Township to decide whether or not to put a question of public policy on the November General Election ballot for Normal Township voters only.
The question is:
“Shall the State of Illinois repeal its anti-BDS statute and permit state-funded institutions to divest from and boycott companies that profit from or enable Israel’s apartheid policies and human rights violations?”
This would be a non binding resolution for the November ballot that is similar to polling public opinion.
If this interests you one way or another, please attend the Township meeting to vote yes or no on this item.
Deplorable. When will people realize Islam, not just radical Islam, but Islam is the biggest threat there is to Western Culture and JudeoChristian values there is! Period. They’re entire belief system is the antithesis of what America is supposed to be.

Just to be clear, if you identify as Christian, Jews aren’t your biggest fan either. You and I are “,goys,” or “,goyim” to them, often a derogatory name for Gentile or non-Hebrew. If someone in the tribe isn’t acting Jewish enough they are being “goyish”. If you are in Israel, try telling an Israeli Jew you are Christian are be prepared for them to become unglued. Their Talmud is loaded with anti-Christian rhetoric. They still see Christ as a criminal against their belief system and think he deserved being crucified. They really don’t believe in an afterlife and see their relationship to God in earthly terms. In other words, Muslims and Jews really don’t care for anyone that aren’t members of their clubs. Best to stay out of their territorial squabbles and let God sort it out.
MPEABODY I know you’re correct BUT, Jews aren’t religiously bound to convert or kill us…..Muslims are. Additionally, there are relatively but a handful of Jews as compared to Muslims. I prefer to take out the guaranteed threat and live with “Gods Chosen” and see how that goes…..it was written Ishmael would have decendents as plentiful as the stars or sand, or something, and they’d have constant conflict. Yup they do. The Jews just have to obey the rules, which they haven’t been great at, and Christ is there for the rest of us. I think that’s a fair version.
The resolution was brought forward via petition of normal township voters not me or the board, like the post clearly states. Also, you DO have to be eligible to participate in a township town meeting. Only township voters can vote on the issue. Voter eligibility aside…….the fact you promote boycotting Israel for defending themselves, especially when Palestine should be eliminated, is simply deplorable! Supporting Islam is supporting the destruction of our society, which fits perfectly with Marist ideology.

This reminds me of a Bloomington Township Special meeting from a few years ago where a similar topic unrelated to Township purview was presented by Sonny Garcia and pals. The petition was voted down by a large majority. Government agencies should stay in there lane and focus their energies on local issues.

Aurora Peak, I stood the wall in West Berlin for two years. I saw eyeball to eyeball, marxists, socialists and communists almost every day both on the west and the east side of the wall.

Unlike most local races, there was a full slate of good Normal Township candidates last election. They all lost. So now the township is paying a generous ‘full time employee’ salary to a part-time supervisor (plus the salary of her new assistant) who uses the position primarily to push her toxic-to-American-society political agenda.
SUPPORT GOOD CANDIDATES! Vote, encourage others to vote, volunteer to have a sign put up, volunteer to make phone calls or walk neighborhoods or walk in parades (Remember when Stan Nord’s supporters were the largest section of the St Patty’s parade – even bigger than the bands?), and donate money. Please Offer to donate to your preferred candidates – good people are often shy about asking for money, and a decent campaign costs thousands of dollars.
RECRUIT GOOD CANDIDATES! Good people are often busy with work, family, and other obligations. Tell them you’ll support them with as much of the above as you can manage, including trying to get others to do so. Organization is where many good candidates fail, because they aren’t political opportunists, they’re just good people who get fed up up against people who have planned for years on how take power.
BE GOOD CANDIDATES! If you don’t have a good candidate and can’t find one, Become One! Last local election saw very few races contested. We need more people willing to step up, even if only to get their names on the ballot so voters have the option of ‘Not The Same Old Politics As Usual’.
Many say Illinois is a corrupt lost cause. They may be right. But if we can make it better, or at a minimum wake more people up, we should. That’s ‘Good people Not doing nothing.’
