Meeting is at 4:30 today.
February statistics I care about, others are in the packet:

See PDF page 11.
New Fare Structure!
And Evidently how it is collected: PDF page 4:

PDF page 15:
BUDGETED 2027 loss:
Income: $1,752,000
Expenses: $27,632,170
27,632,170 – 1,752,000 = 25,880,170
25,880,170 / 12 =
Connect Transit is PLANNING to lose $2,156,680 every month next Fiscal Year.
Who is paying this bill? YOU.

.
See PDF page 23 for 5 year projections: (details are on previous pages)

By 2031 Connect plans to lose $3.2 million every month.
(32,365007 + 4,740,700 + 284,094 + 1,500,000) = 38,889,801 / 12 = $3,240,817

Thanks for pretending local lections don’t matter.

What can you do with $27,000,000 a year that would do just as good as or better than Connect Transit at getting people from point to point in Bloomington Normal?
Making public transportation private might be a starting point.
Note the millions of $$ of local capital expenditures. Where is that money coming from? The Transfer Station was to be funded by Federal grants.
So how can we improve the bus system?
Privatize and of small uses
TESLA Robotaxi is coming at the end of this year. Cheap, quick, driverless, private? Why would you take the bus if you had a choice.
Buses only take you where they go. Tesla goes anywhere. Easy choice
