The Bloomington house increases are in this story: https://blnnews.com/2026/05/01/taxing-bodies-in-bloomington-increases/
Total taxes paid in 2025 vrs 2026:

Congrats go to the Normal voters who fell for the “property taxes will go down” if you vote for a 1% Sales tax. Unit 5 raised them anyway. Just like District 87, there was no opposition in the last school board race.
Both the Bloomington house and this one are valued around $200,000. This one is slightly higher but the County only took an additional $22.22 from this homeowner. The reason is the assessed value of the Bloomington house increased more than $9,000, this one was only $6,100. Those gains will never be realized unless the homes are sold. Illinois taxes you on money you will never see.
Why did Normal Township take another $25.58? Because elections matter and few bother to vote. Krystle has BIG plans and needs your money:

Most of the other increases were covered in the Bloomington story. See link above.
