The Reflecting Pool is a shallow static water feature . During the summer the Pool is heated by the sun an algae forms. The bottom of the pool should have never been painted any color much less a dark blue. This amplified the temperature of the ensuring algae blooms. The algae will not go away no matter how hard they pump and scrub. No one sabotage the Reflecting Pool. Trump can’t face the fact that after 14 million dollars to a no bid contract with a company who had no experience with a project like the Reflecting Pool, it’s a complete disaster.
The bottom of the pool was not cleaned properly and the epoxy which was supposed to last a hundred years is peeling off in sheets.
I guy caught dumping algae? That’s hilarious. It didn’t happen no one had to dump algae in to the Reflection Pool. Nature did it all on its own.

Have you been to the Obama Library? No. Then how can you criticize something you never seen in person ? It’s a beautiful building with beautiful gardens and parks, playgrounds for children. It has a branch of the Chicago Public Library. Most of the commenters here have never been in a museum or library. I bet anything none of you have read a book….The Obama Library will stand after all of you are gone…

When did you become an art and architecture critic? You have no expertise in either subject.
No one is destroying either art or architecture. The Obama Library has extensive parks areas, children playgrounds, gardens for food for the community. Inside there are exhibits and activities for children. There is extensive art in the Library by Chicago artists. The museum is sold out until November. Most people who aren’t blinded with bigotry are amazed by how beautiful the entire campus is and what a wonderful community space the museum will.
Locals think it looks like a jail
Locals? What are their names? Of course you don’t know “locals”.
For someone who knows nothing about art or architecture you sure are able to give inane answers. I have never seen a jail wrapped with high grade granite, with stunning views of the lake and downtown Chicago. Do jails have walking gardens and parks? Do jails have children’s playground? Do jails have a sledding hill which children on the opening of the Museum children were joyfully rolling down the hill? Do jails have a branches of Chicago Public Library? Q whole aim of blog is to disrespect Obama and his family. That is the sole reason you put a photograph of the Obama Library. You know nothing about the history of art or the history of architecture. Stop pretending you know anything.

Does the Obama library have a beautiful campus and community space? I plead ignorance and will concede that is entirely possible. Does it contain extensive Chicagoan art? Same answer. But is the art Good, or is it DEI-, anti-American-, or otherwise leftist-inspired carp? I would be very surprised if it is not primarily the latter. And whether the remainder of the campus is wonderful or not, it is still dominated by a cold, ugly monstrosity, the library itself.
When Chicago unveiled its central Harold Washington library downtown, it was at least a very nice looking building, despite its corrupt namesake, the many complaints about the pricetag, and possible design flaws.
Carson, are the black folks that I’ve seen on video saying the building is ugly also as uncultured and uneducated as you say we are? And just to throw your strategy right back at you, do you know Diane or any of the commenters here? No? Then how do you know whether or not any of us have been to a library or museum? You don’t. How do you know none of us have ever read a book? You don’t.
Then how the ever loving F**K do you presume to know these fine details about people you don’t know?
Answer: YOU DON’T!!! You don’t know a damn thing about any of us. Frankly, if you did know these kinds of details, it actually would be really, really creepy.

I can comment about the beauty, or lack thereof, of any damn building I please. If you don’t like that, I suggest you go outside and find a rosebush to smell. Or touch grass. Or go get laid, if you even can. Do anything else but be a nosy POS busybody.
No presidential libraries, or any building for that matter, were harmed in the making of this comment.
P.S. – The Obama library looks straight out of a communist wet dream. It’s ugly as hell, and an eyesore to boot. That’s my opinion. Would you like to try to do something about me having an opinion?
