You can take off work whenever you want from your 32 hour a week job that evidently doesn’t pay because you don’t need money. Both parties get what they need – that is the definition of capitalism. DSA doesn’t want individuals making decisions for themselves – they want to be in charge of the collective.
Creators won’t create so government can seize the things they built. DSA makes promises that can’t possibly be kept. Of course they are anti-semitic. Of course they want police defunded because chaos gives them power. Of course they want open borders for the same reason.
People won’t work without a reason to work.
Healthcare won’t be available because not enough doctors exist to hand out free care whenever somebody wants it.
Confiscating every dollar from the richest individuals and corporations will run the country for less than 60 days.
These people have taken over the Democrat Party. Bloomington voted them out of existence years ago but now they are back. In case you forgot, the local DSA group disbanded when they broke into factions and fought each other over who would lead. Past failures doesn’t mean they quit, they just regrouped.

We REALLY don’t hate these commie scumbags enough. And yes, I DO mean hate. They are worthy of every ounce of scorn and disgust they get. They earned it. They destroy EVERYTHING they touch.
What would be helpful research and a repository showing how current city council, school board, and county board members (and candidates) are aligned with and support DSA policies, agenda items, talking points. Would make for great campaign ads against them.

We should be referring to the end goal of Socialism, which is Communism. Because once Socialism gets its hands on America’s institutions, life will start to dim and narrow.
The more those systems are reshaped, the more the government will have to tighten its hold — not just on policy, but on people themselves.
It becomes a kind of control that reaches into everyday life, telling citizens what they can own, what they can say, how they can work, and ultimately how they’re allowed to think. You will be required to worship the state.

Marx, Lenin and Engles all wrote that Socialism is the transition to Communism. So, when you see DSA it should read – Democratic Communist of America or Democratic Marxist of America.

It supposedly wasn’t as I thought but much more insidious, the DSA is using the play book that every commie take over has used. We best do something serious, very serious, or we’re toast.

Do a deeper dive on who you watch or listen to. You might just stop listening and supporting them like I and many others have.

He may not be for seniors…..lots aren’t. They see us as a burden. Those on the right see us as the generation that got this whole leftist mess really rolling. And personally I think they’re right. But you’ve got to separate the wheat from the shaft in everything…. especially on the internet.
That might be because the 1946 to 1964 generation let us over a cliff nationally by embracing the post war liberal Consensus, the 1965 Hart Cellar immigration act, 2nd wave feminism, post-modernism, pagan secularism, cultural Marxism, no fault divorce, abortions, forever wars and foreign interventionism, exploding national debt, social welfare (Medicare, Medicaid, the great society)…

Either you’re not saying exactly what you meant to say, or you’re the very type of person that makes me not like most conservatives. As a Gen X, I criticized the boomer generation for mistakes they continue to let happen, and you seem to have decided that that MUST mean I’m a communist.
Please explain to me why my opinion on the boomer generation FUBARing everything for Gen X means I’m a communist, despite the dozens of comments on this very blog where I express my disgust for them? Well first JT, this post is about the DSA. You decided to make it about conservatives. So I assumed that you support DSA. Do you? That will help clearfiy this discussion. Tell me what you support, not what you don’t support.

That’s some scary sh#t. I’m a boomer, an old one 1948 and I’m the first to admit my generation has allowed, and in academia and media enabled the destruction of America. Communism taught in university, non assimilating immigrants, rewriting history, social programs that encouraged the destruction of the black family’s, and a failure to value our Western Culture and the founding JudeoChristian values. Boomers have a lot to be ashamed of. They didn’t start it all, that was Wilson then FDR, but we let it happen. Our biggest threat now is Islam, they are using the far left to be their useful idiots ….. Red and Green Alliance. Joe McCarthy and John Birch were right!!!

But to get real with you, I don’t feel like I have much more to say to you, because it feels pointless and I would much rather waste my time on something I want to waste it on.

There is zero point in me even thinking about running because my beliefs aren’t mainstream enough and I also have family responsibilities that come before anything and anyone else.
Having said all of this, I’m glad I don’t live in McLean county anymore, and as soon as I figure out how to afford it, we are moving back to my home state where my hobbies aren’t nearly as regulated as they are here.

Sorry, I had to assume your true beliefs hoping to have some kind of discussion. And yes it is pointless for you to talk to me and me to talk to someone who chooses to be so cryptic. So let’s clarify.
You are a hyper libertarian or anarcho-capitalist where everything is privatized. No Constitution, no Congress, President or Supreme Court. No state-run prisons, but more like debtor’s prisons run by private agencies. People contract for their own security, and disputes are handled through insurance companies, or arbitrators hired by citizens. Also privatized militaries. (very roughly stated). This does just scratch the surface.
Rothbard’s ideas seem farfetched to me but to each his/her own.

“Arm yourself with facts…” indeed! A well known phrase or idiom amongst our founding fathers was to express a shared concern or belief by uttering, “Keep your powder dry!” So definitely stay vigilant and armed with all the necessary facts and truths.
