Meet State Farm employee Megan Weidman

By: Diane Benjamin

The below was sent to me by a reader.

Weidman’s Facebook page says she is: Research Director at State Farm

Megan and her husband attended Pridefest last weekend. She posted the below:

Keep that last line in mind while you read more.

Megan is very inclusive unless your politics are different than hers. She also posted the below. Ask her where that pic was taken. The Bistro maybe?

She also posted a pic from the show. This is family entertainment in Bloomington. Congrats taxpayers! This will be what downtown Bloomington will mean to potential investors. Degenerate is fine.

      1. Also, this was private usage of social media. If you look at all the screenshots, you can tell the posts were made for a friends-only audience. She wasn’t representing herself as an ambassador of the company when she made these posts. But one of her “friends” saw it, screenshot it and shared it further, and now it’s here for an even wider audience without consent.

          1. Yes. I have a huge problem with corporate overreach into people’s personal lives. Conservatives have been punished for not towing a liberal company’s lines in their private lives in ways similar to the way this woman is being dragged here. Social standards have changed for the worse, in that everyone is expected to be a representative of some workplace 24/7, which I think minimizes people’s ability to freely express themselves. I might disagree with someone’s views, but they should be able to express them in a personal capacity without constantly having to worry about corporate overreach.

              1. Frankly, nothing she posted even violates any type of code of conduct. She shared the word fuck in a post to her friends. Oh no! Stop the presses!

No HR executive would even bat an eye at something like this.

Is Diane going to go after all the folks who flew “fuck Joe Biden” flags outside their homes? Should they be disciplined or fired.

                What a snowflake

                  1. Good god Diane. Theres nothing wrong with flying a “free Palestine” flag. Lots of people, including a plurality of Americans, oppose Israel’s treatment of Palestine. You do realize people can oppose Israel’s policies wirhout wanting to “destroy Israel.”

You sound less lucid than Joe Biden. Maybe you should put down your keyboard and touch some grass.

          2. Yeah- this post is weird. Calling someone out (who isn’t a public figure and you dont know) by name and posting their picture because you disagree with a personal post is low-key kinda creepy.

Also, you seem to be insinuating that her employer should discipline her for this. Having the word fuck on your shirt doesn’t warrant any type of discipline. Honestly, why should I care? As someone said below, lots of people flew “Fuck Joe Biden” flags a few years ago. Did you out them by name and identify their employers calling for them to be disciplined?

Anywhere, I thought you people on the right were against cancel culture? Sure seems to me like you’re attempting to perpetual that culture. Don’t be a snowflake.

Also, given that she isnt any type of public figure and not representing the company, does this violate WordPress’s policy?

  1. I like how she claims to be preaching love not hate..yet has to use “f*ck” constantly. Like a good neighbor, yeah right.

  2. The front page of the Pantagraph in Monday’s edition praises the downtown pride event. “Love” is definitely a one way street with these people. Disagree on one tiny point and the “F” word flies after you. No longer in the closet but flooding Main Street. Sin has no shame anymore. God help us all!

  3. Nice t-shirt good display for all of our youth to see. You can’t deliver a message without using the f word to describe whatever. The State Farm executives must be very proud to have such an involved dedicated employee such as this. Not!!!!!

  4. She is both stunning and brave.

Also what depraved transvestite demon is that?!?!? What a strange religious cult pagan liberalism is.

  5. I agree. The flaunting of the F word bothers me. Having young kids, you shouldnt have to run into it when just out for a walk. Its the same as a few years ago, when I had multiple people in my neighborhood flying “F*ck Joe Biden” flags proudly out in front of their house. Its not just a liberal problem- seems like an everyone problem. I dont care how people talk around one another in private, but we can really do better than so many public displays of the “f” word.

  6. Correct

Between this and the Unit 5/District and ISU and other orgs Director and Management and board we are all test rats. They go for the school and college age kids and bring em into these operations with high incentive and pay and DEI incentives (DEI, Research, training, tax funded public private systems and county board/chamber projects partnerships and shady things get ram rodded thru).

Children and Management with no wisdom or life experience or critical thinking run these orgs and depts. A once decent insurance industry and HR/communications and other industry locally are NO more.

“Be kind and love..” while we target and abuse and steal from taxpayers, students and families & policyholders “for the good’.

    Not good at all.

  7. Omnichannel and bad accounting and SAP and HR projects are pretty much all SF and insurance do with these kids calling it research and testing. It’s bad – bad handling of data too

    Much needed discussion

    Welcome to Disneyland world/journey. Yuck

  8. No Officer, of course I didn’t ask to be attacked. * I just wanted to kiss her. * I don’t even know him, he should go to jail. * Look. She asked for it. So I gave it to her. * So what do you mean by that? She says she doen’t even know you. * Look at her shirt officer. She asked for it. * Hmmm, Indeed she did ask for it. Okay carry on. Case dismissed.

  9. What the heck is that demonic slug looking thing at the bottom? All I could think was what horrible breathe something like that must have!!

  10. No one who still lives in BN should care. State Farm is dead as a national company and a no longer an important local or regional employer. Since Covid, they have been letting their employees get away with murder from allowing them to work most hours from home. Most of these people are taking vacations or running errands during the day when they are suppose to be working. The company has devolved into a cruel joke with no one actually running the show. As far as hiring losers, SF has been doing that for a long while. They were always afraid of being accused of not going along with the new social trends of the day and have been hiring social outcasts for a while. The posted example is far from new or recent. They would rather let loyal employees of age 50 or more go than be accused of not going along with the new social trends of the day.

  11. Total freak show! State Farm should give her the boot!!! Makes me want to change insurance companies if this is who you employ! JK
