Anyone who tells you they voted for lower property taxes because the tax rate is lower is a flat-out liar! Pull out past bills and see it for yourself. A slightly lower rate doesn’t bring your bill down when the assessed value skyrocketed. Duh
What else are the McLean County Democrats lying about? Do they think you are stupid?

How are the Dems so dumb? At least when they say “voted to lower the tax rate”, they are technically correct, even if county property taxes have gone up 23% in the past 3 years. But cutting taxes? Did Buck vote no on any of the budgets? That is the only way that statement could possibly be true, and even then, being on the losing side of the vote doesn’t mean he “voted to cut taxes.”
Hey Buck, you are the State Farm historian, right?
Can you do some historizing and tell us how many “tax cuts” you voted for, in what years, and what was the outcome of the board vote on the tax levy, up or down from prior year?

When I first saw his signs, all I could think of was the trend a few years back where students from rival college football teams would make t-shirts with words similar to “Muck Fichigan”.
No one should be surprised that Barley is a liar. The Superintendent of Unit 5 had absolutely NO SHAME whatsoever in advancing the very same lie. They both count on an ignorant electorate. That’s also why Proficiency at Grade Level in Unit 5 is obscenely low.
