Krystle New Hire Fired

By: Diane Benjamin

At the July 2026 Normal Township meeting Supervisor Krystle Able crowed about the great job her new hire at the ARCwas doing:

In the 3 weeks since her hiring, Beth had already made relationships with local businesses who would provide free stuff to the ARC for events, mostly food.

Yesterday, according to a little birdie, she was told to leave the premises. The only mention of this job at Tuesday’s Board meeting was Krystle thanking the Board for allowing her to create this position. She needs more revenue and this job has to supply it. There was a large amount of food at the Board meeting, likely left over from something else. I wonder where the leftovers went?

By the way, the ARC will be paid off next year making around $300,000 more available to spend. I hope Normal Township residents aren’t expecting property taxes to go down when it’s paid off. They won’t.

Krystle is already looking for Beth’s replacement. Maybe Beth can let me know the real story. Page down, as of this morning Beth was still on the ARC website: https://activityandrecreationcenter.org/about-us

  1. Who are these crazy businesses that want to voluntarily give MORE money and resources to local governments?

Let’s get the list from Normal township via FOIA and not patron those establishments anymore. You either are feeding the beast or starving it. Anyone who joyfully cuts off their arm to feed Krystle Able deserve zero customers from the right.
