This clip is only 1 minute long. Krystle Able claims the Audit Fund is showing negative because this year’s audit cost $40,000 when it previously cost $8,000.
See more below after you listen to the video:
How much has the Town of Normal paid for this year’s audit?

Total payments: $35,925.
Grok AI claims Normal contracted with Sikich for audit services FY 2026 for $50,925, that means other payments might be listed elsewhere or haven’t been made yet.
The budget for the Town is $235 million in fiscal year 2026-27 PDF page 12: https://www.normalil.gov/DocumentCenter/View/28965/FY26-27-Final-Budget-Web-
Total Township Budget:
Road and Bridge fund: $746,807.00. PDF page 4 https://normaltownship.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/FInal-RB-Budget-FY-2627.pdf
General Township: $3,106,689.00. PDF page 10 https://normaltownship.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Final-FY-2627-GT-Budget-.pdf
Total budget: $3,853,496.
The point is the Normal Township is miniscule compared to the Town of Normal.
There is zero acceptable reasons for a Township audit to cost $40,000 when it used to be $8,000 – and blame past Boards for not budgeting enough.
I can’t wait to find out why the audit was $40,000!
