What does that tell you?
It tells me people aren’t excited to vote in McLean County.
It tells me turnout is going to be lower than 4 years ago or the polls are going to be very busy today.
It tells me McLean County has a GREAT chance of telling Pritzker he can’t buy McLean County:
Do we have data on total EV and VBM in 2022 by election day to compare turnout?
I don’t. Compare early here to the national early vote being reported. Here isn’t close
I had to do some math using BEC and MCC data:
Mclean County
Election Day Votes Mclean County – 26,064
Total Votes McLean County – 35980
Which Means Total Early Votes Mclean – 9,916
So that is 2700 fewer EV this year vs 2022.
BEC: (Note their website says the total you listed is from 12:30 pm on 10/31, so 3 more days of EV and VBM arriving. Mclean County website does not say when their data was last updated.
BEC Election Day Votes: 16,231
BEC Total – 28,666
Which Means Total Early Vote is – 12,435
So that is 5,266 fewer EV this year vs 2022. Remember, this doesn’t include votes cast since saturday at noon.
Also, the MCC and BEC list out their vote counts like this: EV, VBM, ED(election day), and then total votes, which is the sum of EV, VPM, and ED. I think they count EVs separately from VBM. It is possible you need to add together both numbers for each election authority, which would make the total early votes for Mclean County this year so far as 12,071, and BEC as of 10/31 at 12,692. So EV/VBM combined turnout might actually be higher than 2022. We would have to ask the BEC and MCC to clarify what the numbers on their website means.
I just confirmed those numbers need to be added together. So turn out is higher this year by double digit percentages.

Driving through town yesterday I saw 2 yard signs in peoples yard that simply read f@$k em all! I guess that’s a couple people that won’t be voting.
