Carl Hinshaw helped this family protest the 11% assessment increase.
He told me yesterday it was cut in half. Still higher than requested, but more affordable than the original.

Taxing on unrealized gains is still evil. McLean County voted for that to continue.
A sweet victory trying to help the “little guy” who the powers that be completely ignore. I caution everyone to be on the lookout for “Truth in Taxation” Hearing Notices that are starting to come out. Check local newspapers. This is where taxing bodies want to raise their levies. You can have a say at those hearings. After the blue wave vote, I fear that property taxes are headed way way higher, yet again, in the near future. Hold on!
