Say it together: “Hypocrisy”

Yesterday there was a fascinating Letter to the Editor in the Pantagraph by Mike Matejka.  He came out against the March referendum for Modified Wards!

It was only a few months ago Matejka helped Rob Fazzini craft a different Letter to the Editor in support of Modified Wards:   http://blnnews.com/2013/12/13/expect-to-see-this-in-the-pantagraph/

Is Matejka running a letter writing service on the side, or did he just change his position 180 degrees?

Looks like the fortunes of Rob Fazzini have taken a turn for the worse.  Matejka tried to make the case to give Renner a chance and that aldermen can take on the big issues.  Mike, we know Renner was behind the effort, nice try covering for him though.

Does this mean Fazzini is now all by himself supporting Modified Wards?  Will the Chamber of Commerce turn on him too?  Will the League of Women Voters come to their senses?

The people know the truth.  Modified Wards will be defeated because the people aren’t this stupid!  We know Renner was behind Modified Wards.  Re-gaining the public’s trust isn’t going to be easy for him..

Well, it is just my opinion but I believe the reason we are loosing our great nation that was built on our Constitutional Republic is because from the top federal government down to our local city level we have so many rogues, charlatans and fraudulent liars in office. Our Founding Father and second US President addressed this when he stated “Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other” — John Adams

  2. If I was Alderman Fazzini I would feel betrayed by Mayor Renner and Matejka. I’m going to grab the popcorn and set back watch. This should be good entertainment. I wonder if Black and Fruin are going to ditch Fazzini as well?

  3. I too was surprised by this and while I don’t know what to think about it, it certainly does not bode well for Fazzini. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think that Fazzini could end up alone on this issue and make an even bigger fool out of himself. It might even hurt his reelection chances, although Bloomington residents have a very short memory. I hope Fazzini keeps talking because the more he does the dumper he looks and the more people are going to want to run away from him.

    I thought Mike wrote an outstanding letter. Fazzini can’t walk and chew gum at the same time. He needs to be replaced.
