Don Rients is a really nice conservative guy.  He is smart and the kind of guy who should be in government.  In the 18th District he doesn’t have a chance, he has no major backers and not a lot of money.  I really hope he stays in politics and runs for his County Board or other office.  Citizens need Don representing them.

The two guys fighting to replace Aaron Schock are Mike Flynn and Darin LaHood.  No, they aren’t both conservative guys who would do the same things in DC.

My sources tell me LaHood has been to DC at least twice since announcing his run, meeting with John Boehner at least one time.  If you love John Boehner and his leadership in the House, LaHood is your guy.  Keep in mind that Boehner promised to get rid of ObamaCare, hold the IRS accountable for the attacks on conservatives, rein in the EPA, secure the border, and a myriad of other issues the GOP HOUSE was elected to do.  Boehner has done nothing.

LaHood’s time as a Federal prosecutor didn’t go well.  He ran for State’s Attorney and lost, maybe visiting a rape victim to find dirt on his opponent was the cause.  He was appointed State Senator.  If he is elected and sent to DC, he will be a long-term politician.  Nothing has been more destructive to the country than career politicians playing games to keep their seat.

Flynn isn’t a lawyer.  (apologies to lawyer friends, but DC has enough now!)

Flynn isn’t going to be a career politician.

Flynn won’t make campaign promises and change his mind to stay in office.

Flynn will not support John Boehner and the rest of the do-nothing GOP in the House.

LaHood hasn’t responded to questions about raising the gas tax, but his dad is on a nationwide campaign to get it raised.

If you believe in term limits and vote LaHood – the only term limits you will get is when he is defeated.  Flynn will term limit himself.

LaHood has failed to show at 2 scheduled events.  Will he show at the debate scheduled for McLean County June 24th?

Sick of the GOP?

Quit electing the WRONG people.
