Hum . . .

Note the date – November 2nd

I filed this FOIA request:

I received this response:

At least he had a mask on!

Maybe he was REALLY hungry, ate by himself, and paid for it himself.

  1. Well, I did learn LONG ago that a “working lunch” has a VERY broad definition, in fact “working” has a VERY broad definition in some fields of endeavor.

  2. The hashtags are a little off. Jimmy Johns is not local. The franchisee, who is also an Uptown loyalist, is local. Many of the dollars spent there are sent to the JJ HQ. I feel like the BN leadership likes to local shame people and present themselves as committed to buying local, but in reality, are hypocrites. How much money has been sent to Amazon from both the Town of Normal and City of Bloomington? Nothing against Amazon, to each their own, but stop lying to yourself and to us.

    1. Did you forgot November 2nd was the same day he announced violations to indoor dining would be sent to the Health Department? Looks to me he’s indoor dining, just like Pam Reece did days later. Yes, petty – especially if you own Joe’s Stationhouse.

  3. What exactly was the “working lunch” about that day? With a vendor or contractor? Many cases they will buy lunch and no records would exist then. Or they are plain not releasing the records. Or someone was feeling generous. Guess we’ll never know. Thanks for trying to keep them honest Dianne! Happy New Year! Keep up the great work!

  4. Couldn’t help but notice that’s an awfully big box for one person’s meal. If it is one meal then perhaps the Mayor could talk to JJ about using less packaging that will go into our landfills. Or will he recycle at one of our four recycling spots that accounts for 40% (sure)?

  5. Since there is no receipt then there are several possibilities.
    – Koos lied and it was a different day..
    – Someone other than taxpayers paid for it.

Since Koos is a chronic liar and never answers questions we will never know. Transparency is nonexistent in Normal.

  6. I don’t think it’s petty at all to keep tabs on politicians and how much money they spend in what has been known as one of the most corrupt states in the Union. How many former governors have we had in prison recently? If you want to bury your head in the sand and trust the plan, go ahead. In the meantime, the rest of us want to know what they spend money on, since it’s obviously not on things that matter.

  7. Do you mean “hmm”?
Like the song “Things that make you go, hmmm” by C & DC Music Factory

  8. It looks like the Town is being “petty.” There is no receipt for a lunch that Koos HAD on 11/2/20. Asking for a receipt from JJ’s for a delivery order to Town Hall on 11/2/20 might have gotten a different result. FOIA officers are sticklers.

  9. Funny. I’m comparing pictures…and the one “delivering” the box to Koos looks an awful lot like…Gavin Cunningham. Isn’t he the very YOUNG little communist-favorite running for School Board in Normal?? Hmmmm indeed.
