I was in Indiana last weekend. Gas was $3.09 right across the border. The roads were great. Indiana spends a lot less per student and still outperforms Illinois. Your property taxes aren’t going to educating students – read the story:

    Its called – The Bridge on the River Kwai

    Summary-
    Tax payers and students are held in a prison camp run by The Illinois State Board of Education with prison guards from the Illinois Teachers unions. They are forced to build a wooden bridge for the Illinois public education system train.
    I won’t give away the ending but you can guess.
