Are you determined to be free?

By: Diane Benjamin

The final words of the Declaration of Independence are:

And for support of this Declaration, with firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our Sacred Honor. July 4, 1776.

56 men signed that document, all were marked for death by the British government because of their signatures.

During the years of war fought for freedom a fort was captured, Stoney Point. The victorious Lt. Col Johnson send a message to George Washington:

“Our officers and men behaved like men who are determined to be free.”

Are you determined to be free?

All politics is local, yet few people vote in local elections. Have you contacted your County Board members (you have two) about the above story? Do you really want County employees judging each other by the color of their skin because the County Administrator decided that was a good idea?

Find your Board members here: https://mcleancountyil.gov/Directory.aspx?DID=11

You owe acting like you are determined to be free to the ones before us who did.

You can’t party on the 4th without doing your part.

  1. This WOKE liberal BS is a social venereal disease! A canker sore on our culture. I hope it isn’t turning into an inoperable cancer but I fear it’s starting to metastasis!!!!

  2. In the spirit of the 4th, this is a must listen to interview about the warning signs for Americans. Examples from the past from those that have escaped communism, fascism and authoritarian rule; examples from the present about how history is repeating itself and a warning about where our future is pointing.

    1. FROMHERE I watched that video in it’s entirety. Interesting…. Scary….thought provoking….those are just a few words that come to mind. To fight for the “right to suffer” is a novel way to see freedom, to say the least. . It is clear though that we are living under soft Totalitarianism that is trying to turn hard. We best resist now because most won’t later.

  3. I’m glad you liked it DUROC I posted it on Facebook and it was shadow banded. Meaning I could see the post but no one else could. Devious. Which further supports the theme of the book. Glad the link still works here.
