Fritzen Case still alive

By: Diane Benjamin

Jeff Fritzen’s case against the Town of Normal and High Haven is still active. Fritzen claims Normal code does not allow reconsideration of a special use permit for a year after it was rejected. The Normal council had rejected High Haven’s application but with a few changes the council then approved it in much less than a year.

The case has been going on since June. The next hearing is January 8th. Both Normal and High Haven want Judge Becky Foley to toss the case. She could be ruling on both then.

I wonder is Normal will get Rep Sharon Chung and Senator Dave Koehler to pass a law exempting them from lawsuits like this?

I bet Fritzen is off Koos’ annual party invite list.

Does Koos want the bike back Fritzen received when he retired from the Council?

  1. They’re probably in on it together. He probably asked Jeff to do this in order to give him cover. He probably doesn’t really want it there, but didn’t want to openly reject it. He needs the pot heads to vote for him. This charade makes one unelected guy the bad guy.

  2. Fritzen is still a jerk imho. Just the same, don’t let the king do repairs on your bike Jeffy, you might take a tumble.

  3. Fritzen must have money to throw around I guess to go hire a lawyer to fight Normal. What skin in the game does he have? I see none at all other than wanting to be a thorn in the side to Normal. Maybe he has an axe to grind with them.

The honorable Rebecca Foley, oh please minus the norable. The voters should have tossed her out the door. Fritzen might as well forget getting a fair hearing. I should have filed 2 complaints against her on 2 guardianship cases. Now that one ward has passed away I really should!
