“We have work to do” 🥶

By: Diane Benjamin

Last night’s Bloomington City Council meeting proved why failure of the majority of registered voters to actually vote is destructive to your wallet! The majority of people can’t wait to vote in meaningless national elections and then they ignore local elections allowing the far left to run your city. Citizens are the problem, not the clowns that manage to get elected. They are YOUR fault! If you do vote how many people did you encourage to vote? What good candidates did you help get elected?

Here’s the poster child for the socialist agenda: Alderman Mollie Ward wanted your property taxes raised because “we have work to do”. She ignored the fact that the “work” citizens want done, like drivable streets, never get enough funding. Citizens don’t want the “work” Mollie promotes. Wait until her “work” is spending $30 million downtown!

Alderman Donna Boelen made a motion to keep the property tax levy flat. It passed with alderman Kearns, Danenberger, Hendricks, and Ward voting no. These 4 socialists proved why socialism always fails-government thinks they know how to spend your money better than you. They don’t.

Citizens weren’t as lucky with the library property taxes. They are going up even though a public commenter and Alderman Montney detailed that fleece. Only aldermen Montney, Becker, and Lee voted against raising those. Maybe more on that later.

Hear Tari Renner’s boss’s wife scold the citizens and other council members here – just hit play. Listen to Donna Boelen’s response after.
