Gov Pritzker was asked at a press conference why Illinois needs a gun registry. Just hit play – he states the State needs to know where the “assault weapons” are in case a crime is committed. If government knows where weapons are they will be taking them to see if yours were used in a crime. Good luck getting it back.
The real comedy is Pritzker thinks criminals are going to register their guns. He claims the people of Illinois are safer now. Has he walked around Chicago without armed security? People aren’t safe even in daylight.

Pritzker wants to punish legal gun owners by making them criminals for not complying with his registry. Nothing about his plans reduce crime. His own words should be used in court to overturn this assault on the 2nd amendment.

Americans have to $upport court battles to retain rights granted in Our Constitution. Sad! We eather fight our government, or loose our freedoms.

An activist court pushes to appoint an unpopular, unhealthy, grafter to be our next president and end elections as we know them.
At the same time we see a push to control gun ownership.
This doesn’t point to a good place for America.
The entire second amendment: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Pretty sure we have a well-regulated militia now. Before you attack me, I won 5 guns, non of them would be considered assault weapons, and I won’t be registering them. My FOID card is good enough.

Actually, we Don’t have a well-regulated militia. ‘Well-regulated’ in this context means ‘effective’, which usually follows from ‘well trained’. And because we don’t have a well-regulated militia, we have government officials like JB who brazenly ignore the law, government bodies that blatantly ignore the Constitution, etc. That’s why it’s “necessary for the security of a free state”.
But a prerequisite to being effective is being well-armed, thus ‘the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed’.
The video link shows an office shooter armed with a ‘full-minute-or-so-between-shots’ musket and a reference to ‘times change’. Except the second amendment isn’t intended to preserve your right to shoot a bully at work, it’s intended to preserve your right to defend yourself against evil governments, foreign or domestic. A better example would be the guy with a musket trying to defend his family from a strafing run from an attack helicopter. So every able-bodied adult citizen should all be allowed, if one Properly applies their logic, to have fully automatic 50-cal machine guns at a minimum, and guided missiles would be better.
But unfortunately most people don’t know history plus don’t know how to recognize misleading propaganda, and we end up with the (historically racist, btw) anti-gun movement.
This is a fantastic comment! You are EXACTLY right. Don’t compromise the legitimate purposes of the second amendment because of deviant criminals. Rather, hold criminal individuals accountable for their actions.

I’m sorry for this digression, but Jelly Belly Pritzker resembles Fred Flintstone, but maybe that’s being unkind to Fred. I’m sure Wilma would agree, JB is dumber.
Many before me have discussed the meanings of words, phrases dating back to when these words were written. Meh? Well I don’t care what date is involved as it’s pretty dang clear to me the “Shall not be infringed” means “do not F**K with.”
This should be NO SURPRISE to any citizen in ILLINOIS! Gun owners are the only reason this country hasn’t become a dictatorship and governor blob knows it!
