Evidently free dinners don’t motivate voters, at least not those voting in the 88th House District.
Chuck Erickson’s opponent tried it here, few showed up for FREE FREE FREE food. Conservative voters know nothing is FREE.
Since the majority of the district is in McLean County, maybe voters sent the message they want representation FROM McLean County.
What are you talking about? Is this the best reason we should vote for Chuck? If so, that’s not exactly a good sign. By the way, this is a State Legislative seat not a McLean County Seat.
Over half of the district in in McLean County. Chuck has stopped tax increases and other nonsense in the County. He has a solid conservative record.
If the dems put out free food, somebody take some fliers down to the homeless camp.
Chuck`s opposition is the adoptive daughter of the former head of A.D.M. the company that killed 2 more people in Decatur a few months back. she also has ties to Warren Buffet jr. who basically runs Decatur. she has been running for every office she can for years, unsuccessfully. So tell me John, why would she represent the people ?
Robert, why do you care who her parents were? Does she have culpability for the deaths of those two people? Or how ADM is run today? Ties to Junior? Is that the best you’ve got?
She had the courage to run as a non-politician. That’s more, I suspect, than you’ve ever done.

And she won her last race, for school board. Where’s she’s actually doing something in that position instead of coasting through it.
Let’s look at Chuck’s “leadership”… overseeing the pro-gun Republican supermajority turning into a 50/50 split. He repeats that tired old line about “reaching across the aisle” BS.
Pretty sure he’s going to lose this race, as he should. Chuck’s not a bad guy. He’s just not the guy we need.
Don’t care about her inherited wealth.
It only matters in that it enables her to attempt to ‘buy’ a seat at the table as opposed to a person that has EARNED a seat by virtue of years of service and experience.
The truth is she has run for 3 public offices in the span of 9 months – barely even making it on to the Mt. Zion school board.
Only 2 months after being sworn in she’s ready to move on to bigger and better things.. what about all the school kids and parents and the promises she made to serve … ??
forget that and them – Princess wants to be a legislator TODAY !..maybe tomorrow she’ll wake up and want to run for US Senate…who knows…
At the end of the day she is little more than a trust fund princess trying to buy a seat in state government after failing to make it to Congress

Erickson has worked effectively and reliably as a conservative voice representing real people and making real votes.
Deering is just playing dress up with her bought and paid for playmates. She will never go to bat for regular folks like Dan Brady did when he served the district.
Erickson may not have her money , but he has the work ethic and record of service.
Erickson will represent the district. Deering will represent the Decatur Club, ADM and the ILGOP establishment ( aka Irvin Slate ).
Dan Brady did go to bat for individuals, but not for conservatives or the Republican Party. Dan Brady is all about Dan Brady. He is the most Rhino Republican in central Illinois. I ran for Normal Council 3 times as a conservative. I had attended Dan Brady fundraisers and supported him financially and verbally among friends. However, he never even wished me well once in running for counsel . I never asked him for money, but he could have wished me well and verbally mentioned to people that I was a good conservative Republican for whom to vote. How many times does he leave a meeting after he glad hands everyone, but is never around to answer questions or provide insight to a group. Always!!! He always supported Scott Preston, but Brady knew that with one sometimes conservative on the counsel, the liberals were in complete control. When Scott ran for representative, what did Brady’s support get him? A huge loss to a terrible liberal candidate who speaks more word salad than the Vice President.
Please provide a list of what Dan Brady did that benefited the people who voted for him?
