How much of your money did The Immigration Project get?

By: Diane Benjamin

We know in 2021 The Immigration Project was 99.95% funded by tax dollars: https://blnnews.com/2024/02/12/the-immigration-project-you-dont-know/

Using the new Benjamin Chat Box on OpenTheBooks.com I searched under “Vendors” for payments made to them. Try it, incredibly easy to use! Results are emailed to you after it searches multiple databases.

In 2022 ISU gave them $500.00

We already knew in 2021 the State of Illinois gave them $1,308,080.

Funding dropped in 2022 to $584,357. In 2023 they were up some to $848,677.

The 2022 and 2023 tax returns aren’t on-line yet. Budgeting must be a nightmare when government funding makes huge shifts like this.

Think the leftists who want open borders are making up the difference with their own money?

I don’t either.

  1. The Immigration Project is a group leftist attorneys on their first job out of law school. Years ago, they had a meeting with Regional Planning in an effort to set the stage to bring in more illegals on work visas. At that time, the foreign-born head of the Commission was giddy at the prospect and included their input on updating regional and transportation plan.updates. Several of the lawyers have foreign backgrounds themselves.
