2 updates from the Superintendent are below. Ben Derges claims they were sent to parents.

Some incident did occur on Wednesday, but whatever happened has been resolved. I hear Superintendent Derges is supposed to be doing a press conference with WEEK 25. There is nothing on either website and Derges has not responded to my request for comment.
I did talk to Sheriff Lane, he told me there is currently no threat to the school. His officers did respond and worked with the school to resolve whatever happened 2 days ago.
In Ohio there is also a Tri-Valley School District. About the same time as here they were investigating reports of guns being buried on the school grounds. Those reports were totally debunked. Some parents here may have seen those posts and thought they concerned Downs. They didn’t. Ohio may have been a swatting incident with reports all over the state.
School officials don’t understand parents and taxpayers have a vested interest in what happens at schools. Hiding information is a lousy way to install trust. Elect better Board members next April 1st people.
