The destruction from the fires in California was predicted. If whatever media you listen to hasn’t played clips proving that find a new media source.
This is what part of Pacific Palisades looks like now:

.
Santa Ana Winds happen every year. Dead trees and dry brush fuel fires. Lack of water caused by political ideology draining to the Pacific Ocean instead of to reservoirs means the devastation was inevitable.
DEI and illegal immigrant spending stole money from essential services like fire departments.
In June of 2021 Bloomington had it’s own disaster when heavy rains caused raw sewage to backup in many homes. Bloomington’s destruction was just as preventable as California’s. The City of Bloomington knew the sewer system was ancient and separating sewer and storm water was required. Some of the areas that flooding had experienced flooding to a lesser extent before. Locust-Colton was slow walked.
The ideology of those in charge focused your tax dollars on entertainment instead of essential services. Infrastructure maintenance took a backseat to downtown, the Coliseum, and the BCPA.
Remember Jeff Crabill who is now busy trying to get Cody Hendricks elected mayor? Review this story from August of 2021? https://blnnews.com/2021/08/06/crabill-is-the-eastgate-hero-not-so-fast/
Crabill declared himself the Eastgate hero after voting against engineering design for Phase 3 of Locust-Colton the year before the “100 year rain”.
The same ideology that didn’t prepare for Santa Ana winds in California prevented Bloomington upgrades to the sewer system. Separating sewers is expensive and wasn’t a priority. That ideology also allowed roads to turn into horse paths.
The current council did prioritize infrastructure with the help of ARPA funds. The April 1st election will determine if progressive ideology returns. Common sense governing means funding essential services instead.
The few that bother to vote will make that decision. The socialist slate was soundly defeated 4 years ago. That needs to happen again.
Pray for the people who lost everything. Include North Carolina who seem to be forgotten.

We are just a few months out from the rainy season. Hope that flooding misses us on the West side for another year. I will be voting.
Grab your neighbors too
Maybe the vast destruction of the LA fire will open California voters eyes. They’ve lauded the progressive agenda for fifty years and now have a ruined state so removed from reality its pathetic. And we are going to have to bail them out with federal taxpayer dollars!! I wonder if we should? After all they voted for this crazy mess. Choices have consequences!
Is the leftist’s problem based on their ideology or a lack of common sense? Common sense is a kind of intelligence based on common knowledge or wisdom. What would the opposite of common sense be? Something more basic I guess. I’m just wondering.
I feel for those who have lost their home and posessions. Many also don’t have insurance to fall back on thanks to the Democrats.
The photos look like the great Chicago fire or even the one Bloomington had. The destruction was mostly due to the lack of fire fighting resources. In this century you wouldn’t think that would be the case but it has been shown in CA it was directly tied to Democrat mis-management. They can throw all the climate change shade on it they want but that isn’t the reason. Yeah climate changes but you adapt and manage to prevent destruction like this.
They had their chance to remove Newsom from office and that failed. In some ways I want to say oh well that’s your own fault. The mayor not answering the reporter at the airport was jaw dropping. Are you an imbecile, deaf, mute? Not a word of apology or sympathy out of her mouth! Talk about a Democrat ***tshow. Ever there ever was one this would be the number one.
I texted someone I know out there Wednesday evening. The reponse I got back was their electricity was out. I haven’t heard from them since. I pray they are okay.
You could just see the dollar signs in Newsom’s eyes when Biden mentioned federal relief funds. Biden commits xxx dollars like it’s nothing. Yeah lets print even more money to clean up a Democrat mess. The federal reserve should open a money printing press in Ukraine too.
The ignorant progressives here seem to be no better. Yeah lets put some bike lanes on Veteran’s Parkway or install a rail service. From some of the survey comments I read. SMH. About the only sensible comment was to synchronize the signal lights better. No kidding! The cities and IDOT can’t even get that right. Then they want to pi** away even more money. I’ll be damn if I’ll buy anything locally if I don’t have to to avoid paying local taxes and state taxes for those clowns to flush down the toilet.
The underpass will be Normal’s downfall. The cost will inflate, leaving burden local taxpayers. Pension debt places Illinois the largest debt in America. Our grandchildren will be tax slaves. Inflation increases your taxes, while diluting your savings while taking your future. The California fire just illustrates that government does not do anything well. McLean County has turned democrat, and is beating California in irresponsible spending. WAKE UP AMERICA!
