More unintended consequences from the left

By: Diane Benjamin

I’ve written many times about the left governing on feelings while the right uses facts.

Here’s another case: https://wirepoints.org/homelessness-could-no-longer-be-a-crime-under-a-new-plan-filed-in-springfield-wand-decatur/

An Illinois Democrat wants to legalize homeless people and allow them to camp on public property.

It will be wonderful to see Bloomington’s new $28 million library turned into a homeless camp and the City won’t be able to do a think about it!

Uptown and the new underpass can also be a tent city. Your part of town can look just like this section of Constitution Trail used to a few months ago:

This bill will make a difference in people’s lives. A GOOD difference isn’t required, just pretending you care about the homeless is required.

  1. Oh it will be great!

    Imagine this:
Koos finally gets his tunnel built and the homeless take it over. They make it impossible for anyone to bike through.

And there’s nothing he can do about it!

  2. Now I have an answer to the reason the tents are still next to the tracks next to Autozone 🤬 Thank you for exposing this Diane! The garbage and filth there is disgusting and I have seen some trash there in the creek as well. Is this what the city wants people to see when they come into town? How about the parents of the ISU students seeing this so close to campus? What kind of message does this send to incoming students and the tourists they are courting with the revitalization project? Can’t have a nice town and then allow all these tents to pop up wherever and then safety becomes an issue.

  3. Warning progressives about the inevitable is like talking to a wall. For example, what became of the Welcoming State and Cities approach that most people told them would be less than helpful.

  4. For all you prickster supporters out there who support his stance on immigration help me understand something
He says the federals, ICE can’t touch those immigrants (illegals) that are here in Illinois who have not committed a crime
Sooo I guess what he is saying wait until they kill, rape, or rob someone before the federals (ICE) can touch them
Gee 2 young people in Champaign were killed over the weekend by an illegal person from Mexico that thank God he was arrested 2 hours before getting back to Mexico. I can only imagine that the families of those that were killed would have hoped that this criminal here illegally had been kicked out before he became a bad person by killing their loved ones
    Duh! Am I missing something?
