If you haven’t been paying attention you haven’t noticed the ACLU doesn’t exist to protect your rights. They exist to protect the rights government thinks you should have. A good example is lawsuits against Red States for gerrymandering while not suing Illinois for the same thing.
Have you heard of the Roger Baldwin Foundation of ACLU Illinois? Their 2022 tax return got filed in January of 2024. Below is the revenue percent this non-profit receives in tax dollars:
When 89% of your funding comes from government you do what keeps the money rolling in.

Government is using your tax dollars to do what they can’t themselves. NGO’s get government money (yours) to make citizens think things like protecting illegal immigrant criminals is a popular idea.

Gerrymandering is an issue in EVERY state
It’s fine in Illinois though
People often wonder how the same politicians continue to get reelected over and over for decades. Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell, etc. It’s because of gerrymandering. It happens everywhere and is a big part of the rot that’s firmly entrenched in the government. Term limits would help, but wouldn’t eliminate the Red or Blue gerrymandering of certain districts.
Miss ACLU sued red states but blue states are safe?
“Public support” on a 990 doesn’t mean tax dollars, it means donations from the public.
If that is true the ICIRR doesn’t qualify as a charity. Wait until you see how much the State handed to them!

And NOW Brandon Johnson Appointed His Gamaliel Foundation/ICRR ally Emma Lozano to be on the Chicago School board which is falling apart. There is a woman in Springfield who was in Leadership with the Faith Coalition for the Common Good she is a regular fixture around the Sangamon County GOP Office. A lot of public/private “For the Good” projects being ram rodded in this state. Should say a lot about the money funnel and agendas and people getting hired in big places. The good ole boy/girl cult especially big in Central Illinois. Like its part of a big “test case” or “model” and highly funded.
