Where Normal?

Two points:

  1. What crossings? Fort Jesse and Linden? West side – like College?
  2. This proves Normal should be building an underpass for vehicles and pedestrians instead of their bike and walkers only path under the tracks in Uptown.

Don’t forget that many multi-million $$$ project is to save 50 feet.

The cost is now way over $23 million.

FYI: You still have no one who doesn’t support the project to vote for.

  1. The choices for “leadership” in Normal are dismal!
No matter what happens = same ole crap will be going on in Normal

    1. although counter intuitive , this is exactly why Normal voters should choose Chemberly Harris when they mark their ballot ! .. the other 2 choices are exactly as stuckinillinois described.

      1. What I’ve seen of Chemberly in council meetings never impressed me. She has two modes; one is to reiterate in a long-winded and semi-understandable way what the mayor or the majority just said or relate everything back to race issues. I don’t think she has what it takes to be a leader.

  2. The RR Crossings are ridiculous. When Market was torn up by the McDonald’s and Farm and Fleet it was almost impossible to get home when a train was stopped on the tracks at College and 150. They did this multiple times a week and traffic would be backed up all the way to Rivian. If you could turn around and go to Market, it would be backed up to Farm and Fleet. One day a trip that should take twenty minutes took 45 minutes. Sent an email to the Normal Town Manager and she was supposed to look into it because she said they weren’t aware this was going on.

  3. Kathleen Lorenz was the only council member that responded to my inquiry about the Make Music Normal festival booking of a “family friendly” drag show headed up by a self-proclaimed witch in Uptown Normal’s movie theater. She promised to look into the situation. The rest of the council, including Koos and Chemberly dutifully kept their mouths shut. There was no drag show last year and so far, there have been no drag shows scheduled for this year’s festival.
