Mailer #2 from Cody Hendricks is below. It directly violates the Bloomington City Code, the laws under which Bloomington supposedly operates. He is unfit to be mayor due to these violations of the Bloomington City Code. He has no respect for the laws of the city he seeks to represent.
Alderman Sheila Montney read the code at last night’s Council meeting:
Nonpartisan elections were established by law in 1914 to combat corruption. The Bloomington Election Commission was created for the same reason.
In 2025, corruption is back, thanks to Cody Hendricks and Jenna Kearns, who have decided they don’t have to abide by city code.
The City of Bloomington is doing nothing to stop them. The media have chosen to ignore lawbreakers running for office. They ignored Mike Madigan’s corruption for decades; Bloomington is now fostering the next Madigans.
Note that Cody calls himself a progressive. “Progressive” doesn’t mean making progress. Progressives only want power and will break any laws necessary to achieve it.
We are witnessing the destruction of local law and order while those who took an oath to preserve and protect both are either committing the destruction or looking the other way. Jenna Kearns is a lawyer who is breaking local code. She is unfit to serve on the Bloomington City Council or as a lawyer.
If Cody and Jenna win on April 1st, they are sent a message: Crime pays.

They adopted the word, “progressive,” because using the accurate word Communism would have made their motives obvious. So instead they refer to themselves as, “Progressive.” As in, Progressing to Communism. Also, lying, deception, law-breaking is necessary to advance their agenda. “The ends justifies the means.” What’s a little law-breaking when communists are seaking power and control.
The Democrat party knows the laws. They allowed it, or may have encouraged their affiliation be published. They know if anyone tries to hold a Democrat or liberal accountable they will have the deep pockets of the party and/or Pritzker to fund their legal defense. They want to ensure all parts of government within McLean County are filled with a majority of Democrats. How this is accomplished is irrelevant.
Included in that code is the note – “see also” – [Ch. 2, Sec. 10] Violation of Code.
Any officer violating any provision of this Code shall be deemed guilty of misconduct in office and liable to removal therefor.
