Election Results Part 2

By: Diane Benjamin

Democrats now completely run the Normal Township. Expect tax increases in your future. Krystle Able got 5,045 votes – Chris Koos was re-elected with only 3,914.

Is this how a socialist and cohorts got elect? By handing out presents on the ISU campus – getting votes from students who don’t have to live under the people they vote for? The rest of Normal could have easily outvoted them. You failed to show up.

Voters didn’t have choices for Normal Trustee. Chemberly Harris will be gone, Kathleen Lorenz still has 2 years left on her term. She spent $5,200 of her own money since January to be mayor: https://www.illinoissunshine.org/committees/27402/

Chris Koos only spent $1,000: https://www.illinoissunshine.org/committees/32789/

Normal will still be waiting for trains to clear the tracks while pedestrians get to walk under the tracks.

Permanent citizens take 2nd place. That’s what citizens want since they keep voting for it.

  1. Hopefully this will motivate the McLean County GOP to reevaluate its election/campaign strategies. Multiple candidates were fronted who voters had rejected in previous elections — and they were rejected *yet* again. These races were not unwinnable for R’s, but with the current McGOP playbook in-hand, they were *made* unwinnable.

      1. Exactly! There IS no play book!. McLean County Republicans like to rub elbows at nice venues so to be seen by others. But they are clueless when it comes to winning a local election. Learn from the dems! If they have a sign on public property put yours there too. If they have a tent at ISU put yours up next to it. Send endless texts to registered voters Send mailers. Shadow the dems and learn…..

  2. Koos should have the underpass built or stop talking about it. Its time to do something about it or just abandon the idea. The longer he talks about it the more expensive it gets.

  3. The problem with republican voters is they lack the key mental trait of gullibility.

Democrats have it in spades. Gullibility breeds sensationalism by the Democrat leadership. The gullible don’t ask critical questions they just believe. Believing sensationalized talking points breeds voter turnout. So we end up with survival of the gullible. And I can’t think of anything that can overcome simplemindedness.

Anyone that knows a gullible person knows what I mean.

  4. The McGOP did not list the location of the Bloomington Election Commission office for early voting. They sent everyone to the government center.

  5. Where was the McLean County GOP when candidates were collecting signatures in the fall? Why couldn’t they recruit anyone to run for mayor? Why did we get a multiple-time failure who refused to give a strong conservative stance against the ARC for Township Supervisor? The failure wasn’t in March or April here. It was in September and October.
