Dan Brady received 2,411 more votes than Cody Hendricks and 4,830 more than the current mayor.
Uncontested Ward 3 candidate, Sheila Montney, received more votes that the total who bothered to vote in Ward 1. That Ward is stuck with Jenna Kearns for 4 more years. She won by 227 votes.
Roger Bedeker lost to radical Abby Scott by only 384 votes in Ward 9.
The new Council as of May 1st has these far left extremist:
Molly Ward
Jenna Kearns
Abby Scott
Cody Henricks
John Dannenberger
Only two alderman vote reliably conservative as opposed to voting on feelings:
Sheila Montney
Kent Lee
Mike Straza will probably join them. Appointee Michael Mosley might, he has seriously considered his votes so far instead of voting on emotions
Hopefully Mayor Dan Brady can play a role in keeping Bloomington from declaring another structural deficit and creating even more new taxes. They will benefit from the 1% Sales Tax increase too.
A write-in candidate won the president (mayor) race in Heyworth – Eric Moore:

Meanwhile, Downs doesn’t have one because nobody ran:

What can Dan Brady even do now?
Create the agenda
Considering the other vote totals, Brady’s total is VERY interesting!!
Wasn’t going to comment today but now I will. Michael is correct. Brady’s “agenda”, whatever it is, is dead on arrival. He has no influence with radicals running the council. He has no vote anyway unless it’s to break a tie vote. I don’t think the city has changed that. Whatever the agenda is, what or will be will be shot down by those in the majority. I doubt that Dan cares one way or the other because it’s all about the title to position for another future political run and the extra bills he gets for being mayor. Hendricks probably has as much power being a councilman that he would have had as mayor, since he is now the undeclared leader of the wacko fringe on the council. In Bloomington vs. Normal, the city manager really runs the show anyway. It’s just that his job will be that much harder dealing with the insane nut jobs that rule the day in once was a community that once was a good place to live, work and raise a family. The most important thing in BN is still getting your picture in the paper for attending community events. Good luck with that.
Parents with students vs those without students the parents win now we get to pay more taxes forever it will never stop
We just need to figure out how to dump the tea into the water!!!!
