The new Illinois budget gives Sharon Chung a $7,000 a year raise. $98,000 a year for a part-time job.
Public Schools are lowering the standards so testing looks better. Illegals get free healthcare. Socialists lie. You get what you vote for.

This is the result of socialism – Sharon Chung is part of the leaders now:

Dave Koehler voted against citizens too. Taxes are increasing yet again.

I am curious how these “public/private” partnerships with local corps, universities and taxing bodies/districts and “vendor” relationships are being managed (like Allied Universal – Wal Mart Security, and other depts) and HR systems that seem to be using our tax dollars to implement “profiling” of applicants and employees and using data in ways they should not (Illinois Biometric Laws).
If ISU money and “partners”/folks are involved, am sure there is a lot that needs transparency in most departments/politicians (Peoria, Springfield, Bloomington, Normal and Cook Cty).
Digital transformation and taxing districts was a big $ grab for many in “planning” and 3rd party partnerships.
Airport tax was a good example of the way they work and Dave am sure is a huge advocate for this type of taxing (Central Appraisal District like some other states are disputing as illegal use of fair tax law).
This article just made me thing deeper about the whole dynamics of Central Illinois in general and “service” contracts.
Consumers, employees and taxpayers/citizens seem to be the ones dealing with the systematic social engineering and property tax issues. Its not isolated to McLean County am sure but the model seems to being ram rodded in and voters don’t vote or even understand the shady verbiage of implementing these platforms/models and how the access/privacy roles/rules, data is integrated and used (without transparency).
Profiling and Business Intelligence and Hiring (legalized data abuse, misuse and stalking basically) is the big “selling” point of Illinois at this point- which is yet another 4th Amendment right and safety issue for residents in the state/counties.
Keep up the good work Diane. Our county depts have gone down a bad road a few years back with a lot of these pay to play contracts and systems am afraid and we pay for it all.
Political mess.
The money is used to buy votes for the next election. The new budget gave House DEMOCRATS extra money to do just that. Republicans got zero.
Chung is a dud.
Know how they all cozy up to insurance, execs and tech orgs and big consulting
