Last Friday I attended the annual Corn Belt Energy meeting. These aren’t boring, they throw in enough humor and fun to keep my interest. (Which they wouldn’t if all they did was read financial statements!)
I found out why Corn Belt rates aren’t skyrocketing while Ameren rates are. Corn Belt buys electricity from a cooperative in INDIANA. Wabash Valley Power Alliance.
Below is the Ameren policy because Illinois stupidly believes in Climate Change which was formerly Global Cooling and Global Warming depending on what the temperature tracking was. Throw in some Acid Rain and other dumb proclamations that are only meant to raise prices by forcing wind and solar on citizens.

Natural Gas burns clean, only stupid people would be trying to eliminate it. Nuclear should be increasing, not decreasing. Since AI requires massive amounts only nuclear can provide it. Wabash has some renewable energy. I hope they stop increasing it because wind and solar are the most expensive way to generate electricity:

.
Illinois has been racing toward the most expensive electricity for years. Vote better because they want to destroy your prosperity with solar farms and these oil filled and leaking environmental threats:

.
By 2050 you won’t be able to afford electricity in Illinois.

As they phase out carbon emissions, how are we supposed to breathe?
You are next
Surely you know that we exhale carbon therefore taxing carbon is a breathing tax.
Sadly, most of Illinois voters are all in on green energy. Apparently they don’t care if their summer electricity bills go through the roof
Too many years of propaganda and public schools
Unfortunately the only option is to move out of the state. Nothing is going to change, these bozos will run it into the ground like the Titanic.
Brian is correct. Get out of IL.
I was reading I believe a Forbes article that the Dems aka Socialist are looking at taxing by vehicle mileage again. It did’t sound like it would replace the fuel tax which is going up again. Service companies aren’t going to pay it, you the consumer will
Lately I watched a few Youtube video’s where people do a walk thru of their tiny home. It sure looks more tempting. A single women living in FL had a reallly nice one in a tiny home community. She said she sold the large home with a pool and downsized. She got rid of paying high property taxes also.
I can only imagine what my Ameren June will be. Time to bend over again.
People can’t afford electricity in Illinois now! My highest electric bill here in Tennessee was $200 in a month and that’s the year we saw single digit lows in winter in an all electric house! Just think how high the all electric houses in Illinois bills will be.
You are correct in stating that only stupid people want to eliminate NG. Unfortunately, voting will not fix stupid because IL has to many low IQ voters who stay home but are the first to complain when the parasites raise fees and taxes.
