A Public Hearing and vote are on the agenda to annex 74.5 acres on Lutz Road for a solar farm. Under state law the solar farm can’t be stopped, so opposition isn’t possible. Once built this farm will be using city water to clean the panels. Unless they buy trucked in water, they will be paying the 100% higher rates by next May the City subjected everyone to. I’ve noticed on social media many people are wondering why their bills are so high. Just wait until next year.
Residents are paying much more for electricity and water. Property taxes will continue to increase because assessed values continue to increase. Rents continue to increase too. All of these are the recipe for decreased local spending on non-essential items. That means businesses will close and governments won’t have as much revenue. Watch all of them claim everything is fine – until it isn’t.

Bloomington will vote on the same 2 items Normal passed to stop funding temporarily to the County for mental health. County elected officials are furious, since 2 City Council members are married to 2 County Board members – I predict at least 2 no votes. Diversity!
I wonder if anyone will mention accountability from the NGO’s getting tax dollars?
The Council will also give the City Manager the right to change parking policies in downtown Bloomington when necessary for the new streetscape and destruction of the Market Street Garage.

There is no downside to voting yes when the county will vote no. Supposedly all 3 have to agree or nothing happens.
the town and city could stop payments and back the county into a corner and force them to choose to either sue the municipalities using tax payer funds, or roll over and allow the pause.

correct!! The SUVs were able to run West to East along the front of the ice. Gasoline was cashed every ten miles for the machines. With thousands of gallons of fuel stored, they gave up lighting COW FARTS (TOO MANY got badly kicked by cows)
