Do people making laws, like completely eliminating fossil fuels by 2025, ever bother with facts?
Wind turbines don’t work without fossil fuels. If the goal was to decrease the temperature, solar farms aren’t the answer. They actually increase the temperature.
This link is highly scientific, like using photovoltaic (PV) renewable energy production instead of solar farm: https://www.nature.com/articles/srep35070
The University of Arizona did this study by measuring the temperature for 1 year in various locations.
Excerpt:
At each site, we monitored air temperature continuously for over one year using aspirated temperature probes 2.5 m above the soil surface. Average annual temperature was 22.7 + 0.5 °C in the PV installation, while the nearby desert ecosystem was only 20.3 + 0.5 °C, indicating a PVHI effect. Temperature differences between areas varied significantly depending on time of day and month of the year (Fig. 2), but the PV installation was always greater than or equal in temperature to other sites.
Graphics are included in the article. Around solar farms the temperature was hotter than the desert.
Seeing only dollar signs, McLean County wants to approve another solar farm on the richest farmland in the state. After it is cooked by solar panels for 15 years or more it’s estimated value to grow crops or sell to another farmer will drop significantly.
Fossil fuels can not be replaced with either of the current versions of wind or solar. Only people who don’t bother with facts keep trying. Meanwhile, you get to pay more which was the plan all along.
Climate Change is a scam. If you keep electing people who don’t use facts, your energy bills will continue to increase.

One thing I never hear discussed is the long term affect to the land itself. The panels, all forty plus acres of them, need to be cleaned occasionally. Twenty or thirty years of cleaning agents soaking into the ground will probably make it useless….. much like “salting” would. They can’t scrub or wipe all those panels so the cleaners must be fairly strong to work. Eventually poisoning the land and maybe affecting the ground water aquifer too.
Apparently most illinoisans rather enjoy paying more for utilities. They keep voting the same clowns into office that keep raising rates
Solar Farms raise the PROFIT for the landowner !
Until they want to sell the land!
