Know who else offers free dental exams for students? Chicago Public Schools, not a model anyone should emulate.
Orland Park Dental Services created jobs for themselves by providing this mobile service. How much are Tri-Valley district taxpayers getting billed for this? We won’t know until after 11/10/25.
How much other dental work will Orland discover during these “free” exams?
This is just another unfunded State mandate. Dental exams are needed, only socialist policies make taxpayers pay the bill.
I wonder if Tri-Valley teaches socialism fails every time it’s tried? Obviously the State of Illinois doesn’t know that one.
Seriously Diane!?! This is a pretty dumb thing to complain about. Most kids at Tri-Valley have a dentist that Im sure they see at regular intervals. For the few kids that dont have access to dental care or health insurance, this service is a lifesaver. Not going out on a limb to say that most folks in Downs are probably perfectly okay with the school offering that service for kids who are less well off. It’s really not a big deal.

the last time it came up before the board was a presentation in March. Nothing else on any of the agenda packets or minutes since then. But they REALLY want to spend taxpayer dollars to have a health clinic (free?) inside the school. I wonder what kind of drugs, procedures, medicine they will give kids on school property now?
Let’s project into a likely future:
Little Charles feels a little deflated today, his masculine identity dropping after years of ideological propaganda spewed at him from his secular government school teachers: Toxic masculinity, F*&K the patriarchy, men can become women, women into men.
The new state mandated mental health screenings flagged him as high risk, and pushed him into therapy with the mental health therapist now on staff at BHS (paid for by the 1% sales tax revenue). The therapist suggested that perhaps Charles is really a girl, trapped in the wrong body, that’s why he is depressed, on ADHD drugs, can’t sit still, addicted to screens, can’t read, doesn’t know basic math. Charles, being impressionable and having withstood years of ideology preached to him as a new secular religion, begins to question his identity. Charles is sent to the taxpayer funded health clinic on site at BHS. Were mom and dad notified? Who knows, but policy would indicate this is kept secret from his parents.
The ideologically aligned nurse agrees with Charlie’s prognosis and starts him promptly on a regiment of hormone suppressing puberty blockers, as Charlie explores his new identity as “Charlotte”.
“Charlotte’s” parents don’t know what to do or say, popular culture reinforces their uncertainty as to what is happening to their son (daughter?), and they relent to the school’s diagnosis and medical suggestions.
Get your kids (and grandkids) out of government schools.
Uhhhh, really?!? So, we went from, “Dental clinic expensive. Dental clinic bad!” to, “Dentists will turn kids trans!” In about 10 minutes. Are they putting estrogen in the fillings? Maybe the laughing gas is secret hormone therapy! Or maybe its the fluoride they’re putting on kids’ teeth! Little Charlie better make sure he finds a MAGA dentist or he’ll leave his cleaning as Charlisa. Do you have ANY idea how ridiculous you sound?!?

@SERIOUSLY It’s the accumulation of brainwashing techniques in our schools in Illinois. One more way to encourage our young people to rely on the government… as many of our young adults have already been taught in our schools (I have one in mid20s now who believes those lies, so I personally know this is happening). Ask any sane people who work in our public schools. Ask them about their DEI/ “BELONGING” training. Ask them if they are allowed or encouraged to tell parents about these things. Everything our public schools do now in Illinois is to get kids on the alphabet wagon (especially into the “trans” life) and to be socialists/ communists. Illinois is a worst state for this because Prickster has a brother who tries to look like a woman and it is their family dream to spend billions across our nation to deceive our young people in this way. Maybe you can look into our state government sessions and laws he has passed and talk with some sane public school workers and then tell us how this is all NOT part of their plan. Thanks.

If you think a dental clinic is a Trojan horse to give kids at a local school district abortion pills (something that no elementary, middle, or high school has EVER done in our country) you’re more far gone than I realized. Hell, teachers get fired if they even hand out a Tylenol, but feel free to believe they have a secret supplier of abortion pills which they’re slipping to kids.

You may say what has this to do with offering dental services for our youth alll one has to do is look at the disgusting remarks that some people make when someone comments about what is behind this action of helping our youth very simply leave the parents out of the decision making let the little ones know that you the government are here to take care of you. Do this often enough and now you have the youth all grown to believe your communist rhetoric.
