Last night a Peoria TV station’s lead story at 6:00 pm was the petition asking for the resignation of Alex Williams from the Unit 5 School Board.

If course Unit 5 had no comment. Alex Williams promised WEEK a comment and never provided one.
You thought they worked for you? Obviously neither do.

On the petition is a screenshot you might have missed because it’s small. Below is part of that comment made by Alex Williams on social media in addition to what he posted separately:

Neither of these people has ever watched a Charlie Kirk video. Neither bothers to search for truth, they prefer spreading whatever ideology is told to them. Alex Williams is therefore unqualified to serve anywhere near children. Far left radicals aren’t capable of making decisions in the best interest of Unit 5 students, ideology gets in the way. Alex Williams needs to resign.
Is he still employed at Country Companies? My agent hasn’t updated me.
There is a reason why Unit 5 suddenly and completely ended their 5+ years Equity Cult.
(Yep… I said it!) What’s the reason? Maybe ask their Legal Department? And ask their Finance department for an accounting of all the money they wasted on it – all the hours for training 2,135 employees, all the money spent on Systemic Educational Equity LLC’s identity politics consulting, all the hours spent on the pedagogy of activism instead of academics, the number of teachers that resigned or retired because of it, the affects its had on the minds of our students.
There was never any good reason why we went down this road. There were never any proven positive reports about about the effectiveness of identity based education. Why did we start it, why did it abruptly end?
I doubt it did. It was just renamed
All of the Equity/DEI documents are no longer on their unit5.org website. They have moved Shelvin to a new department called Student Supports that has no mention of DEI or Equity.
It looks like Unit 5 has decided to flush DEI in favor of a new mental health initiative. Probably because Pritzker and the ISBE are going to or already have provide funding for it. I’ll find out. Mental health screenings for 3-12 grades are on the way.
If DEI/Equity still exists at Unit 5 they moved it underground. I have a feeling they didn’t. I could be wrong.
Maybe what we need is a petition from Country Companies policy holders to terminate Alex.
Maybe this “deplorable cult member” should take my insurance business someplace else.
I don’t see how any employer would allow him to stay employed with a comment like that.
Meanwhile I found out one reason why my school district property taxes are high. Lets put astroturf on the football field. Are you kidding me!
I’m not in favor of anyone losing their job but if he continues to pretend he should be on the school board, I will be looking at changing companies too.
They allow him.to stay employed because they know he will.sue them.if he is dismissed. Country Financial is more scared of him than you or anyone else taking your business elsewhere. A black guy that works in the same department as a relative of mine just filed papers to sue the school district he works in because the district wouldn’t change his hours so he could work a full-time job elsewhere. The dude wanted to.work pt at his current ft job and work ft at his current pt job. When he didn’t get his way he sued them because he thought he would get his way because he’s black. Not making this up.
He is going to have to prove it is racially motivated and if he has no contract, he is an employee at will, so good luck with that. It’s an employer’s world and it’s difficult to sue unless you have a union.
It’s not difficult to sue anyone union or not. All he has to do is do it and and I bet Country Financial and/or the school board would cave. You’re not living in a conservative BN/McLean County anymore. It’s cooked, finished.
A bit player in the Industry , Country Companies is literally held hostage to the demands of its DEI hires.
I just can’t trust a guy wearing a bowtie un-ironically.
