Want to Know Why Every Kid at Evans is punished? See this!

The State of Illinois doesn’t believe in judging students based on their character/behavior.

The Illinois State Board of Education looks only at the proportional discipline based on skin color.

Unit 5 was put on notice that too many people of color have been suspended or expelled. They were forced to create a plan to change that. That is why entire classes are punished instead of troublemakers. Unit 5 is almost forbidden from expelling or suspending students of color because Illinois thinks it’s racist.

See this document, pay special attention to anything highlighted. Unit 5 is being forced not to discipline students of color even if they make learning impossible for every other kid. The students are victims of identity politics, but teachers are victims too since the aggressive, insubordinate, and disruptive students are running classrooms without consequences. The Unit 5 response is to punish all.

  1. And our response should be to vote the fools out and also vote with our feet by pulling our kids from the government schools.

    1. Dream on. republicans in this community do not vote. Even when they do , they split apart & fight each other over things like church attendance and the size of their Gadsen flags. McLean County is going Dark Blue soon.

  2. Seems like the parents and the teachers are being held hostage by this “Discipline Improvement Plan”. What this teaches all students is this behavior is accepted in the real world and we are creating the future criminal justice system population. This is like the second level up from “Everyone Gets a Trophy.”
Homeschooling is the only way to fix it. Do not count on votes making a difference.

    1. Let’s not forget that the students will learn that they can do the crime but NOT do the time, thanks to the Safe-T act!

  3. Wasn’t there a story some time back where the police chief of Bloomington told his officers that they needed to start stopping more white people because the number for blacks being stopped was so high!
Wow,just look in the local newspaper the pictures of those being arrested for drugs and firearms charges are mostly of people of color, is there a problem with those of color being singled out or are they actually committing more crimes than the other residents????
Now look at our schools the numbers say that those of color are being more disruptive than the other students are those students being singled out or are they actually being more disruptive???
All I can say is that I am so happy that my children are not only out of the local schools but out of this state.
How sad that a culture has been established whereby an individual can choose to be disruptive and not be individually held accountable. You think that when they get older we can expect to see their picture in the paper also?

  4. How can schools and their discipline quotas take the place of missing fathers?

    Major Points.
*Across America, 2022 data indicates there are approximately 18.3 million children
who live without a father in the home, comprising about 1 in 4 US children
*About 80% of single-parent homes are led by single mothers
*Children from single-parent families are twice as likely to suffer from mental
health and behavioral problems as those living with married parents.
*In one study, 70% of youth in state operated facilities were from single-parent
    homes.
*Children with an actively engaged father perform much better in school, some
data shows that they are 33% percent less likely to repeat a class and 43% more
likely to get As in school.
*In a study of 56 school shootings, only 10 of the shooters (18%) were raised in a
stable home with both biological parents. Eighty-two percent grew up in either
an unstable family environment or grew up without both biological parents
    together.

  5. And, MORE disruption, misbehavior, violence, assault, battery, will occur because they know they will NOT be held accountable. PARENTS, pull your children out of public schools! The schools are physically and mentally unsafe for your children.

  6. There are both white and those children of color being raised in single family homes but I believe the last statistic reported that the those of black households are up to 77 % of the children are in a single family home if that is true being the black community makes up 14% of the population in the USA those numbers are very troubling.
And then you see the numbers of crimes being by those from single family households that is scary.
So why is it that the current system says that there are too many people of color being arrested for drugs and other crimes along with those being disruptive in our schools should be treated differently than others
    Just asking!

  7. Dear Mr. & Mrs. Smith,
We have to continue to allow your daughter to be beat up, assaulted, punched, kicked, choked, harassed, bullied, because she’s white, and the offender is not. We cannot and will not expel the criminal who is assaulting her. We hope you understand.
    Signed,
    Kristen Weikle

  8. FEDUP Your letter is so appropriate Many years ago I was leaving my junior high school there were 3 black girls by the exit one of the girls yells “did you hear what he said “ I first all of didn’t say a word I was just a scrawny 7 th grader these 3 girls attacked and beat the heck out of me. I only mention the race of the girls because of the stories being told today appear to be race related.
I walked the hallways the next day and looked into the classrooms pointing out those that were involved with my assault I don’t remember what the punishment was
It was not the schools here in Bloomington Normal but a school in Illinois, a school that used to have many ways to go in and out but I hear that now there is only one way in and out like many other schools today
I only tell this story because it happened 50 years ago how sad that it appears problems have only gotten worse in some of our schools, what in the world is happening to the human race especially our children today!!

  9. Duh!!!!!!, I believe the problems in our schools have been getting worse every year way before any tariff was ever discussed or initiated am missing the point? Either way I fully support buy American

  10. Everyone getting punished at a school is the same as everyone getting pardoned for “storming the Capitol”

      1. Some rioters entered the U.S. Capitol through doors that were opened by others in the mob, while others broke windows and forced their way inside. While there have been claims that law enforcement “let protesters in” by intentionally opening doors for them, extensive investigations have not substantiated this narrative as a systemic effort.
Key facts about the doors on January 6, 2021:
Rioters opened doors for other rioters: An NPR timeline of the day’s events shows that after some protesters broke windows to enter the building, they proceeded to open doors for others to follow them in.
Rioters overpowered officers to open doors: In some instances, rioters overwhelmed and assaulted police to open doors and flood into the Capitol. One rioter who kicked open a door later expressed regret for his actions against police.
Specific rioters arrested for opening doors: The Department of Justice has arrested and charged specific individuals for opening doors to let other rioters inside. For example, in February 2022, the DOJ arrested one rioter for allegedly opening a door that had been recently closed by Capitol Police and encouraging others to enter.
Insufficient police force led to overwhelmed officers: In some parts of the Capitol, officers did not engage with or stop rioters who were opening doors because they were exhausted and overwhelmed by the sheer number of people.
Limited claims of officers allowing entry: Some rioters have claimed in their defense that they were waved in by police or did not see barricades, but a CNN fact-check confirmed that no evidence has emerged to show that law enforcement systematically invited people in. In fact, the Capitol Police Chief stated that the “notion that the Capitol Police were somehow allowing these folks into the Capitol, inviting them in… just simply not true”.
Officer discipline: While the “open doors” narrative was not supported, the Capitol Police did announce in September 2021 that some officers were disciplined for noncriminal “conduct unbecoming” on January 6.
