UPDATE: ISU TA attacks Turning Point Table – TWICE

Lopez was arrested. This does not say he was banned from campus:

By: Diane Benjamin

Make sure you read this entire post because Unit 5 is involved too.

In case you missed the first story: https://blnnews.com/2025/10/15/more-reasons-isu-should-be-embarrassed/

Since it appears ISU did nothing, including the ISU police, the same guy repeated his criminal activities:

This is the guy:

Evidently he is an IT teaching assistant.

Anyone at ISU care?

Does anyone at Unit 5 or parents care?

He’s listed as an employee, maybe a substitute teacher: PDF page 16 unit5org/ASAformFY25.pdf

The below are things Lopez put on social media:

Turning Point is holding another event Monday. Is ISU waiting for someone to get hurt before Lopez is banned from campus forever?

Is Unit 5 going to ban him from all schools forever?

If nothing happens justice no longer exists. Deranged people need the mental health care this state is inflicting on your kids. Lopez has qualifies as deranged for repeating his offense. He is not going to stop unless forced to.

  1. Well , if he works at State Farm as indicated on other online posts that have gone VIRAL, Derek is about to have a serious Case of the Mondays ! 😂

  2. I don’t mean to be boring with my repetition, BUT we’re gonna have to get mid evil on their arses! Turning Point needs a couple of buff guys with ball bats standing by their display. I know some of you will say that just invites violence but obviously talking isn’t working .Nor is reason and the authorities don’t do anything. So what are you gonna do…..let evil triumph??

  3. So much for rural communities being the bastions of conservative thought. Liberal rot is infecting them too. This state is completely hostile to anyone with even slightly conservative values.

P.S. – Where did this guy learn to dress himself? Taking public bathroom selfies and having his shirt buttoned like he’s advertising himself looks like a come on to me. Gross. I’m not taking a guy seriously when he can’t even be bothered to dress himself like an adult. Again, gross.

  4. The state and Unit 5 and other districts make it expensive and systematically cumbersome and almost a nightmare to even apply and try to become a sub or para or work in schools and the data and system literally exploits applicants – non ISU or elitist connected types in Central Illinois and counties.

Someone needs to seriously examine the data abuses and costs to public applicants and the terrible shady data use and process. Cearly the wrong people are placed in the name of “education” in positions in public school positions ns automatically I am beginning to see. (Public Private education and strategy leaders have really done students and taxpayers wrong)

What a scam and shame this is even happening at events like this.

I see a child/ISU grad student that will be around and so called teach and influence and grade our own student and children that are not much older than he is. ISU and local tradition and goals apparently or money and data funnel to certain folks and local leadership/projects and contracts.

    1. Here’s how Unit 5 makes sure that it advances it’s woke Equity orthodoxy instead of an unbiased and balanced heterodoxy within the education system.

From Unit 5’s Equity Audit –

Pg 102 – “The district may need to consider its interviewing and hiring practices for implicit biases. This will provide an important insight to one’s identity, positionality, and critical understanding of equity.
      implicit = unspoken
identity, positionality, equity = the ideology of CRT and identity politics

Unit 5 says – We will only hire people that believe in the same identity politics that we believe in.
We will eliminate bias by being biased. We will end discrimination by discriminating. We will enforce the educational and political orthodoxy of the woke on our students.

  5. If LE is doing their job, they should find out the history of this dude. Just a minimal search indicates this guy doesn’t stay in any one place too long. Is he a citizen? On a student or work visa? Dresses like he shops at Goodwill. What ISU department does he work in? If SF employee, will they fire him for such behavior or will not because of minority surname? Living in El Paso for a reason unspecified? Next time put him on the ground UFC style and knock out a couple of his teeth. Don’t take shit from these types anymore. Not taking bets but dresses and looks like Antifa member.

  6. Law enforcement has done its job. The arrest has been made.

Now we will get to see our States Attorney’s Office play their vital role : The Charges.

Hate Crime ? Civil Rights Violation ? .. plea deal , patterns of behavior supporting orders of protection etc.. or will they just turn a blind eye and drop the matter and file no charges at all ?

  7. At least one of these major employers has a “code” which prohibits employees from posting “offensive” PERSONAL social media posts. If other employees report “offenses” then it can result in reprimand or termination of the post-er. So this guy CAN be fired if other employees report his posts (assuming the policy applies to both sides of the aisle since it seemed to be set up for the left to report the right after all our governments became insane with DEI and BLM and all things “trans” in 2021 🙄). I assume all the employers mentioned in this story and in comments might have similar rules?
Would apply to the Chapman/ Williams/ Bierne posts too if Unit5 has such a policy.

  8. Good news today it was reported that this clown was indeed arrested. Assault and destruction of private property I believe.
Let’s hope that ISU follows through and bans him from campus.

  9. I am guessing unit 5 will keep him so that he can go to student classes and describe what he did so that there can be a topic for discussion.
You know that is the only way that students can learn!!!!
