The only reason ICE actions are controversial is cooperation in deporting CRIMINALS doesn’t exist in sanctuary cities and states. Authorities won’t notify ICE of arrests and allow them to take custody of criminals from the jails. ICE is forced to track down released criminals which makes it more dangerous for everyone and allows this group to rally their merry band of miscreants to protest:

To complete the local lunacy, the McLean County Chamber of Commerce gave The Immigration Project an award. I wonder if the Chamber is aware this non-profit is funded with TAX DOLLARS? Get an award for using our taxes to warn CRIMINALS to hide from Federal Law Enforcement? Business Excellence Award? You can’t make this stuff up!

You are wrong historically. The Democrats did not founded by the KKK. The Clan was founded by former Confederate general, Nathan Bedford Forrest.
It’s was terrorist group that lynched, killed and terrorize black citizens in the South. They went on lynching and murdered thousands of Black citizens in the south. The brutal murder of Emmet Till was the work of the KKK. The KKK is considered a terrorist organization with ties to white supremacist. It still around today spreading hate.

As far as the KKK lynching thousands that’s total BS! Hundreds maybe, thousands no way. The KKK mostly was intimidation, burning crosses and dressing in hoods. Far less actual violence than you or left wing Wikipedia claim.

The KKK was most certainly lynching African Americans after the Civil War. There were thousands of lynching by the KKK of Black Americans that took place all over the South. They were lynched for voting and any other reason the KKK dreamed up. They fire bombed a church with three young black girls. They murdered Emmitt Till in the 1950’s.
As for democrats somehow being behind the KKK, there were millions of Democrats who didn’t support the KKK. During the civil rights movement many young democrats fought for equality and rights for African Americans.
As for the KKK today, it is considered a terrorist organization by the FBI. Also David Duke a prominent Wizard of the KKK is a Republican.
I find it really telling that you don’t support many programs that would help women with children. You have a fetishized fetuses, but after the birth the mother and child are on their own. States that have the most restrictive anti abortion law have high rates of fetal and maternal mortality. Poor prenatal care in these states have made pregnancy dangerous. Abortion in dangerous pregnancies save the life of the mother.

I guess we can speculate about why democrats seem so idiotic, but you can be 100% sure about this – EVERYTHING they do and say boils down to getting their voters to the polls in the next election. Every single thing. And because republicans under Trump have had a good number of successes, (especially the economy) democrat’s ONLY remaining option is to fill their voters with fear. P.S. – If you read the wikipedia article on the klan, you find out that the KKK as a group was fiercely anti-communist. That makes for a convenient boogeyman, I guess.
The real question is why is the supposedly pro business chamber of commerce giving awards to radical leftist groups that undermine federal law?
The answer is the real reason why no one is being honest about combating illegal immigration: big businesses, big farms, big manufacturing, they all use tens of millions of illegals for subsistence level slave labor.
Trump raided a few farms and meat processing plants early last year, and the billionaires and corporations threw a huge tizzy fit. Then he quickly backed off and switched to Operation Midway and whatever stupid name he calls his minor efforts in Minneapolis, doing raids in neighborhoods. Which has blown up in his face from a PR perspective.
The truth remains: no one is actually serious about deportations until you go after the sacred cash cow: the businesses employing the illegals. Until that happens, we will have lame deportation numbers of a few hundred thousand a year, like we did last year. Trump will be lucky to deport 2 million in 4 years (ignoring the border deportations of those trying to cross the border).
Actually put your foot down, actually go after the employers, actually put CEOs and bosses in handcuffs for breaking federal employment law, and everyone will quickly stop employing illegals and then there is no economic incentive or protection for the illegals, and they will leave.
The chamber of commerce doesn’t want that to happen, because they are traitors and cowards and worship the Almighty dollar.

Chamber ‘0 Commerce is all about cheap labor. As long as small business requires access to cheap workers through the legislative process, The Chamber will exist.
Locally , many in the Chamber Leadership are very progressive Democrats and RINO’s.
