In other words, if you are WHITE – don’t apply. Teaching skills, including the ability to connect with students, won’t be considered. DEI discrimination is alive and well in Illinois. The lie that students can’t learn from someone with a different skin color is evil.

The ruling party wants to set up raising YOUR taxes. Millionaires will be leaving the State in droves if Illinois passes this. As the tax base decreases, everyone left has to make up the difference. Cutting spending is never allowed. Government has needs, those who earned the money aren’t entitled to keep it.
Excerpt:
“We also work pretty closely with the school social workers, and so [we] share our distribution day flyers with the school so they’re telling their Hispanic families, ‘This is a resource available in our community. Please utilize it,’” said Pressburger
The need is clear. There were around 11,805 Hispanic people living in McLean County as of 2024, according to Census data. ISU serves as one of the hubs of Hispanic culture in Bloomington-Normal, including Marinelly Castillo, an ISU Spanish professor.
“Here we are, we are wonderful human beings; even though we don’t speak the language, we are here sharing a city, sharing a space. Even though we have our culture and they have theirs, we are a melting pot, we are a combination, and we are here—we aren’t going anywhere. We have jobs, in one way or another, we pay taxes, and we are giving back to a country.
Want to know why there is a local housing shortage and rents are HIGH? You are looking at a big part of the problem. Thousands of people who moved here are living somewhere. Somewhere citizens aren’t.

I knew ISU students would be used to pass the propaganda. https://blnnews.com/2026/04/14/radicals-tonight-normal-township/
Instead of accusing the County Clerk’s office of purging voters, Able should be asking why ISU students have no voice on the Normal Town Council since everyone is elected At-Large. If she really cared about their voices being heard she would file a complaint with DOJ’s Civil Rights Division demanding they sue Normal for fair elections. At-Large voting means nobody representing students can be elected. It takes money, students aren’t capable of raising the funds needed to run for a seat the entire Town votes on.
Maybe Krystle can explain how the State Board of Elections got a different voter list than the County.

This ISU professor literally doesn’t understand what the American Melting Pot means and has always meant: if you come to the USA from a foreign nation, but do NOT assimilate into the American way of life, you are actively resisting the melting pot, whereby all the once separate ingredient are melted into one another, so they are no longer distinguishable like they were before, to form one common and unified American stock.
If you continue to not speak the language, if you continue to insist on having a separate culture, (as the professor brags about) you are by definition not mixing in with all the other ingredients in the melting pot. You are actively resisting the melting pot.
The melting pot of America means speaking English. The melting pot of America means distinct unified culture, heavily influenced by Christianity, localism, the frontier, industriousness, etc.
Simply Sharing a geographical space doesn’t make you part of the same stock in the melting pot. Sharing ancestry, culture, religion, language, manners, and customs, is also required. That is what it means to be an American.
John Jay, first Chief Justice, said as much in the Federal Papers #2.
“With equal pleasure I have as often taken notice that Providence has been pleased to give this one connected country to one united people–a people descended from the same ancestors, speaking the same language, professing the same religion, attached to the same principles of government, very similar in their manners and customs, and who, by their joint counsels, arms, and efforts, fighting side by side throughout a long and bloody war, have nobly established general liberty and independence.”
@Doge Illinois- I appreciate what you say.
There are many forces trying to pull Americans apart, especially on our 250th anniversary. The “Reverend” Al Sharpton is telling blacks to either not celebrate the 4th or have a black only celebration this year. America’s days are numbered if this persists.
The hypocrisy and lack of self awareness is stunning.
“The Spanish-speaking population is present in Bloomington-Normal. There is a very large population here. At the university, I couldn’t tell you exactly how many Hispanic students we have, but there are a great many, and it is a community that is active; it is a community that has bonds between its members, and it is a community that should not be set apart, or pushed aside, or made invisible because it is a community that truly helps others and can contribute so many things to you,” Sanz said.”
It’s a community that intentionally isolates itself and resists assimilation, by insisting on maintaining their separate culture and their foreign language, and they have strong ” in group” preference(active bonds between its members)
But then they complain they feel set apart or invisible. BECAUSE they actively refuse to assimilate into the melting pot!!!
Sorry, you can’t have it both ways. You cannot have your cake and it eat it too. This is a problem of their own choosing.
Doge Illinois, I don’t think that I could have said it any simpler.
I might add,
You want to live in my country learn English immediately, fly and respect my country’s flag not yours. If you can’t do these simple tasks do me and all Americans a favor go back from where you came!
Perhaps Jelly Belly should pay back the taxes he hid from by removing a toilet from a property he owned?? He is rich, start with him
Let’s just be clear. It’s not about who pays more or how fair the tax code is.
Taxes are theft. Period.
You want fair? Repeal all taxes.
JB ought to pay extra taxes for all the extra donuts he eats. First he should pay a excise tax for his lack of excise. JB if you’re not going to do any cardio then pay the State for having to need clothes bigger than your oversized are. Your carbon footprint is higher cause you so fat. More sheep had to be shaved for their cotton, more electricity for those shears, carbon exhaled by the person cleaning up the excess sheep hair and lets not forget more sheep farts. You caused that extra gas so tax, tax, tax, tax, tax it like you like to tax our gas.
Osempic might be working, he knows morbidly obese doesn’t win
